"There's lots of remote land out here," Chase, Astrid's hawk-shifter mate, said. "It's just begging to be returned to those who will honor it."

"If we're all in agreement about the boundaries," Ash took a thick, ancient-looking book down from a shelf. "It will take a group effort to create the barrier. I need everyone to do their part in this." He nodded at Seth. "This is where you come in."

Seth nodded and stepped forward, looking serious and ready to act.

"I need you to anchor a sigil at each of these points," Ash pointed at each dot he drew on the map. "It should be on a tree or a large rock that won't get moved. We need shadow magic to keep the barrier invisible to humans. Additionally, we need these sigils rooted down deep so this baby doesn't move any time soon."

"Wait." I turned to Seth. "You're still mortal, a witch. What's your primary element?"

He broke out into a grin. "It's Earth."

The same as mine. I knew it the instant Ash said rooted. And with Seth being as powerful as he was, there was no better person to solidify the border of our new home.

"Take a team of shifters with you for guidance," Ash suggested.

"We'll go with him." Orion, Astrid's sexy, silver haired wolf mate stepped forward. "We know these woods better than anyone."

Seth dropped a quick kiss to my mouth which stole my breath away, then he left with Astrid's mates and the five other shifters. In the room remained me, my original unholy trinity, Nona and Astrid.

"And what does the dream team need to do?" Raum inquired with a smirk.

Ash flipped through his aged tome excitedly. "After they set the anchor points of the border, we're going to cast the actual protection spell." He looked up smiling. "All of us."

He spent the next hour flipping through his book and jotting down notes. Raum and Sal took Nona and Astrid to the kitchen for some drinks and chit-chat, leaving us finally alone.

"Have you changed your tune, angel?" I asked, unable to keep the smile off my face.

"What do you mean, love?" he mumbled distractedly as he flipped and wrote.

"I mean about sharing me when we're, you know, together."

His scribbling stopped. He leaned back in his chair and looked at me with those icy eyes, with their own unique kind of heat.

"I just figure," he said carefully. "I've already been sharing you all this time. And I know you love us and being with all of us would make you happy." He shrugged but the flush in his cheeks told me so much more. "That's it. I just want you to be happy."

"But I wantyouhappy too," I told him. "And I do love it when it's just you and me. I'd only want to be with you and the others at the same time if you enjoyed it too."

Slowly he laced his fingers behind his head as a lazy, smug smile crept across his face. "Who knows? Maybe I would."

I bit my lip to hide how giddy I was.

"Does that mean you'd be open to finding out?"

His grin grew wider. "It may mean I'd be open to trying."

What a fucking tease.

Hey sweetheart. Seth's mental voice cut through my psyche. We've anchored all the sigils and coming back to meet you now.

"Seth's done already!" I jumped from my chair, excited as a child on Christmas morning. "Let's go!"

We were to cast the protection spell at the exact center between all the barrier points that Seth and the shifters just anchored. It just so happened that point was in the open field right near our house.

"Hey, love." Ash caught my hand before leaving the study, his expression serious. "Are you really okay with this being the location? I mean, we can keep the house indefinitely but I know we're in the middle of nowhere-"

"Shush." I cut him off with a kiss and pulled back with a smile. "I love this place and want nothing more than to stay. You, the other guys, the shifters, and all the supernaturals we're going to help, all of you are my home and my family now. I belong here, with you."

He squeezed my waist affectionately as he lowered his forehead to mine. "Just checking in with you, my San Francisco heart."
