Jandro's eyebrows lifted but his expression remained otherwise unchanged as his gaze returned to me. "This is somethingyouwant?"
I took Reaper's beer for a drink of courage and swallowed it down along with the knot in my throat.
"I really appreciate you in my life, Jandro." My voice shook with nerves and I took a steadying breath. "You've been there for me in times when he hasn't."
Reaper nodded his agreement and I found the strength to keep going.
"You've protected me and listened to me. You were literally my shield when we got ambushed and I don't take that lightly at all. I'm so grateful for you, and I think we have...something worth exploring." My final breath released like air out of a balloon. "This is completely new to me and I have no idea what I'm doing. But I have to admit I'm intrigued by this dynamic that Reaper's told me about, and as long as you're all happy, I'm willing to give it a try."
"Like I said before, sugar," Reaper pulled my attention back to him, "this is all about your comfort level and makingyouhappy. You have the power here."
"And if you're confused, talk it out with either one of us," Jandro added before looking across me to his best friend. "I gather you've learned a few things about listening and not flying off the handle, Reap."
"I'm a work in progress but I'm trying," he answered with an affectionate glance to me.
"I've already seen a lot of improvement in Rory," I agreed.
Saying his real name combined with the venous look he gave me broke all of the tension of the conversation. Jandro slid off the loveseat and onto the ground in peals of laughter and I couldn't help the giggles myself.
"Oh my God," Jandro gasped while clutching his stomach, "I'll say yes just to see your fucking face when she calls you that."
"Is this what I have to look forward to?" Reaper grumbled, draining his beer. "You two stooges laughing at my expense?"
"Yes," Jandro and I answered in unison and burst out laughing again.
"I take it all back."
"No takesies-backsies!" I smacked Reaper’s forearm, coaxing the reluctant smile on his face that proved he was joking.
Somehow in our giggle fest, I found myself leaning closer to Jandro as he got back on the loveseat.
"So, what do you say?" I asked when the laughter died down and my nerves came fluttering back with a vengeance.
Jandro shot me a charming grin, reminiscent of when I first met him.
"I think you should come closer and find out,Mariposita."
My first instinct was to look back at Reaper, to make sure this was okay with him, but I kept my gaze forward. I already knew how he felt, now I just had to figure it out for myself.
I leaned in and Jandro met me halfway.
The kiss was soft, only a peck at first like the rushed one he gave me at the start of the ambush. He paused, his breath a light tingle on my lips before I closed the distance again and opened up to him.
He met me for every beat, never taking the lead like Reaper, but just matching me with gentle exploration. His lips were pillowy soft and his tongue swiped across mine playfully, but never forcefully pushing into my mouth. Just like any other time with him, kissing Jandro was lighthearted and with no pressure.
When we paused for a breath, I felt a hand caress my nape. Reaper's hand.
I turned to him, not knowing what to expect on his face but he only smiled at me before giving me one of his signature, domineering kisses. A sharp thrill ran up my spine at the contrast between his mouth and Jandro’s, and maybe just from the sheer fact that I was kissing two men.
He released me for air and Jandro stroked my cheek, prompting me to turn to him where he awaited with a sly grin. This time, his tongue was more adventurous, his kisses deeper and more passionate but still with the same softness.
Reaper's hand kneaded my thigh as I kissed his vice president, his breath tickling my neck before leaving a bruising kiss on my shoulder.
Holy shit, this was intense.
My body didn't even feel solid anymore. I felt like I had to be melting down to the floor with how fired up these two men made me. And this was just kissing.
I broke away from Jandro, turning back to my green-eyed lover when a loudpopmade me jump.
