“More like Dracula,” she laughed, squeezing my palm. “I think I like that better.”

Be still, my heart.

Hunter joined us a few minutes later, after Mel and I already changed into sleeping clothes and cuddled underneath the blankets on my king-sized air mattress.

“I’m not interrupting anything, am I?” he asked, amusement in his voice as his pale form approached us.

“No, but you’re missing out on a good snuggle.” Mel patted the space in front of her. “Get in. There’s plenty of room.”

Hunter paused by the bed, then swiftly removed his shirt and jeans, stripping down to his boxers. I felt Mel’s breath hitch and her heat rate speed up as she watched him undress and climb into bed. I suppressed a grin as his arm wrapped around her waist, accidentally brushing mine on her hip.

“Sorry, Raz,” he muttered.

“It’s quite alright, wolf,” I laughed, my breath fanning across the back of Mel’s neck.. “I don’t give a fuck if I touch you or not. As long as our girl feels safe and comfortable.”

“Thank you, guys,” she whispered, clasping her hand over mine and kissing Hunter from the sound of it. “For being here. For taking me to the hospital, just… everything. I don’t know what I’d do without either of you.”

“We’re happy to do it, little fox.” More kissing sounds and I swallowed the jealousy burning in me.

I settled with dropping a kiss to her shoulder, longing to taste her lips again but I would be patient. She found Hunter and Connor worthy of that but not me. Not yet.

“We just want you to be okay, steluta,” I murmured behind her ear. “And we care about Connor, too. We’re here for both of you.”

She shifted between Hunter and I, turning around to face me. Without a word, her hands felt for me in the dark, finding my face. Her fingertips brushed against my lips and I kissed them before they slid around to my neck.

Then her mouth found mine, kissing me hesitantly at first but then deeply. I fell asleep with a smile on my face and the sweet taste of her on my tongue.

MELODY

Atattooed arm around my waist. A pale, sculpted chest beneath my ear.

I slept so deeply, I almost forgot about last night. Looking at both of them, Hunter and Razvan both looked so peaceful yet completely different in the morning light filtering through. And how lucky was I? Sandwiched between two gorgeous men. All I needed was my third.

Connor! He would be awake today! The thought startled me into action. I carefully lifted Raz’s arm off of me and crawled over Hunter’s long torso to reach my clothes on the floor. Raz groaned and rolled over, stopping inches away from Hunter. One more half-roll and those two would be cuddling.

I suppressed a giggle as I looked at them. If I had just walked in, there’d be no doubt in my mind those two were lovers. The thought sent a rush of heat to my core so fast, it made me gasp. My nipples hardened into tense peaks with no stimulation, despite it already being a hot and muggy morning.

I never thought much of two men being together but the mental image of those two could not be erased. Down here in the south, it was definitely frowned upon but I heard about places like California where it was celebrated more openly. I rubbed my face and went back to getting dressed, but the thought could not be unthought. And my body could not stop responding to it like it was the hottest thing since dragon fire.

I hardly dared to wake them up but I was dying to know how Connor was doing. And I didn’t want Roo and Rinna asking questions I didn’t want to answer.

“Hunter,” I whispered, tip-toeing to his side of the bed.

He looked like a marble statue. His platinum hair spilled across the pillows, his face turned to the side showing off his statuesque profile as he breathed deeply. And his body. I half expected his pale skin to feel like the cold touch of stone as I gently shook his shoulder. But he was oh so real, living and breathing.

“Mmph.” He turned his head and shifted, his hand clasping around mine as his eyelids cracked open lazily. “Hi, beautiful,” he croaked, his voice groggy with sleep.

My heart skipped a beat. How on earth did I get so lucky? “Hi, handsome wolf,” I returned.

Both of his arms reached for me. “Why’re you wearing so much clothing? Come back to bed.” He glanced at Razvan inches away. “I think someone else wants the middle, though.”

Giggling, I pulled on his hands to bring him upright. “You should check on the kids. I want to go see Connor as soon as we can.”

“Alright,” he sighed, swinging his legs down to the floor. His snug boxer briefs left little to the imagination, though I’d already seen him naked.

Razvan muttered something in his sleep and rolled over again, settling on his stomach as he hugged Hunter’s pillow.
