Reid speaks up this time, explaining how they were both prospects together, doing grunt work side by side, and then when the vote came and they both got through, they became patched members.

“Difference is, I was teaching this asshole everything since I grew up here, and Reid left the comfort of home to go look for something different.”

“You grew up here? I can’t imagine being a kid . . .here. Not that it’s bad, but just, wow.” I stumble over my words because what the hell? I have so many questions. How’d he become the VP? Is there a rise in ranks like in the military? What is Reid’s position here? Do they all live here together in this big compound? My thoughts are jumbled, and before I can ask any of them, a man built similarly to my brother Sawyer walks out of double wood doors in the back of the room with two other men flanking either side of him.

His hair is nearly black, the sides shaved short and the top half long and pulled into a bun, pieces falling loose and framing his face. He’s wearing a plain black T-shirt with the same leather vest as every other man here. But he’s different from all the rest, and Reid’s words play back to me in my head, “you’ll know it’s him when you see him,” and he was spot on.

This man? This is their president. He exudes an air ofconfidence that isn’t cocky. Each step he takes is with purpose, his presence commanding and sure. Every member he passes nods their head in respect, and you can easily tell that it’s a respect that has been earned through loyalty and dedication, not fear. Nerves scatter through my body, setting off chills.

Reid doesn’t miss a beat, rubbing his hands up and down my arms, pressing a few quick kisses to my neck and under my ear.

Their president walks behind the bar, nodding to the prospect who takes the rag off his shoulder and hands it to him. The prospect leaves the bar, and then the man is in front of us.

“So, you’re the woman who’s stolen Rogue’s heart?” he says with no preamble.

“She is,” Reid speaks up for me, his voice so sure and confident. I’ve stolen his heart? The man’s eyes never leave mine, though, waiting for me to confirm myself, and I feel like a fish caught in a fisherman’s net.

“I’m Kinsey. You must be their president?”

“Chaos, but you can call me Camden.”

“Thank you.”

“Wouldn’t expect you to call me by my road name, it’s nothin’.”

“No, thank you for coming for me with Reid. Thank you for giving me a place to stay. If you all hadn’t come, I—” Reid squeezes me closer to him, his lips pressing a firm kiss to the top of my head.

“We take care of what’s ours. And sometimes we even step in to take care of what isn’t, but it’s the right thing to do. I’m glad you’re okay.”

Wow.

After my first introduction to a motorcycle club with my kidnappers, I assumed all MCs would be similar. Inherently evil, lawless. This is nothing like where I was taken to before. The men I’ve met so far here are the opposite of the men in the Iron Wolves.

“If there’s anything I can do to repay you,” I offer.

“Don’t break his heart,” he says after a minute of silence, staring at me with his brutally serious eyes. Then he nods to Reid and Rhys and walks away without saying another word. I feel like a student who’s waiting to find out if I passed a huge exam or not.

Reid kisses my head again, dropping his mouth to my ear and offering me a piece of reassurance. “You’re okay, sweetheart. He’s just intense and doesn’t trust easily.”

I turn my head to the side to look up at him, giving him a half smile. “I’m okay. I’m with you.”

“That’s my girl.” His lips crash down on mine in a heated kiss, his tongue forcing my mouth open to accept him. His fingers press into my hips, and right as I start to turn around and give him more of me, there’s a loud slam of a palm connecting with the bar top.

I jerk back to face Rhys, who’s looking way too damn proud of himself.

“You’re a dick, Sin,” Reid says, making him laugh.

“Hardly. I’m practically a teddy bear.”

“If a teddy bear likes to play with sharp things.”

While the two of them talk back and forth, I take a few minutes to glance around the room, my eyes immediately homing in on the pool table, where a busty blonde is currently bent over the side of it, dress pulled up around her waist, being fucked into it by one of the members.

I’ve seen plenty of people make out before, even walked in on Piper once with a guy’s hand down her pants, but fucking? Out in the open with a room full of people? Never. Nor did I ever think this was something I would see. People move around them like they aren’t there, talking and playing darts, anothergame of pool happening at the table adjacent to the one that’s currently being occupied to fuck against.

I’ve read plenty of smutty books that have public play, and I know how it made me feel reading it, but to see it? Completely different ballgame. Am I surprised to feel myself getting wetter? No. But I don’t know how Reid will feel when he finds out that this is turning me the hell on. He said he wasn’t into public play anymore, and I know I couldn’t do what they’re doing right now, but surely there’s nothing wrong with glancing over at them once in a while, right?

I press back against Reid, wanting him to touch me. The euphoric feeling of this man’s hands on me will never get old. I’ll never stop wanting more.
