“You hurt her, and I’ll kill you.”
“I’d beg you to.”
“I love you. We’re good?”
“Yeah, we’re good. I love you, too.”
Sawyer releases me and climbs out of the ring, pulling off his gloves. I look at his brothers, waiting on the ropes, and hold out my arms in a ‘come and get me motion.’
“You two assholes next?”
“Nah, I think this covers it. I heard all I needed to hear,” Dallas says.
“I’m good. But I’m with Sawyer, you hurt my baby sister, you’re dead.”
“Not gonna happen, but I appreciate the threat.”
My burner phone goes off, and I scramble out of the ring, pulling my gloves off like they’re on fire.
“Yeah?”
“We’ve got ’em.”
“Where?”
“Halfway between you and me. They’ve got a compound in Briar Falls.”
“Security?”
“They got it, but it’s nothing we can’t get through. How soon can you get back?”
“Let me get Kinsey sorted and talk with her brothers. We’ll be there tomorrow. I want to end this.”
“We end it permanently this time.”
I drop my phone back into my bag and turn to find Sawyer and his brothers waiting for me to relay the information.
“I’ve got something to take care of.”
“We all know, Reid. Sawyer had to tell us, we all kind of had an idea anyway,” Liam states.
“I mean, my guess was Mafia,” Carter says seriously. His brothers look at him like he’s an idiot.
“You thought he was in the Mafia?” Dallas asks for clarification.
Carter shrugs. “Yeah, it was the silent secrecy, the brooding.”
“Definitely not in the Mafia,” I clarify.
“Yeah, I got thatnow.”
I pull out my hair elastic and run my fingers through it before pulling it back again, taking a minute before I speak.
“Okay.” I nod. “My president has the information he needs; it’s time to go in after the people who took her.”
“I’m going with you,” Sawyer states again, reiterating what I already knew.
“I know. And you three?”
