“Honestly, can we not talk about that? I swear, it’s been the focal point of literally everything this past week. I need to talk about something different. Anything different,” I pleaded with them honestly.

“I can understand that,” Delilah commiserated.

“Well, then we will talk about something different,” Ruth promised kindly.

“To answer your question, though, I’m doing alright,” I answered. “It’s been the weirdest week.”

“How so?” Delilah questioned, and I shot her an incredulous look. She rolled her eyes as she continued. “You know what I mean. I know it’s been weird and likely hellish, but elaborate, will you?” She playfully smacked my arm. It felt good to joke around with her like we used to as kids. I hadn’t known just how badly I had needed this reprieve.

“It’s like everywhere I go, I’m searching for something, but I don’t know what,” I admitted with a sigh, shifting on the sofa until I found a more comfortable position.

“Something like what?” Ruth asked.

“Ruth! She just said she didn’t know,” Delilah chastised her playfully.

“I just meant that if there was something shedidknow, maybe we could help her. After all, women are the unseen around here,” Ruth commented, and she wasn’t wrong.

“Unless you’re thirteen and unmarried,” Delilah muttered with a grimace. One we all shared. It was true, the young and unwed girls of this town were prime pickings for the men of Zion. I hadn’t ever thought too much of it. Granted, I had only seen a few weddings with brides younger than sixteen. But now, I couldn’t imagine being married at such an age. Why had I never given it more thought? Was I so blinded by my faith and brainwashing that I truly believed that to be normal?

“Earth to Talia?” Delilah called out, waving a hand over my face to get my attention.

“I’m sorry, I was just thinking,” I said with a blush of embarrassment.

“That much was obvious,” Delilah tossed back.

“You’re a sassy one today,” Ruth accused with a smirk.

“It’s Ollie’s fault. That quick wit and that sharp tongue have rubbed off on me,” she said with a contented sigh like the cat who got the cream.

“Oh, I’m sure his tongue is quite the opposite of sharp when it’srubbing offon you,” I teased. Both women gawked at me, but I couldn’t help my crude comments. My mind continued to think about the most inappropriate things, wanting nothing more than to shed the personas of Zeke and Talia and find Sir and angel once again. I needed something to go back to normal.

“Well, Talia Temple, welcome to the party,” Delilah chuckled while Ruth nearly squealed in excitement.

“What has you two so excited?” I scoffed.

“Well, to be honest, we weren’t sure how… well… open you’d be to that level of teasing,” Ruth admitted.

“How can that be true? We talked about Donatello just over a week ago,” I protested, throwing a teasing glance at Delilah.

“Ah, Donatello,” she sighed, leaning back against the sofa cushions with a sinister grin.

“Yes, but you were pretty tight-lipped for the most part during that conversation,” Ruth pushed back.

“I suppose that’s true,” I agreed with a shrug.

“But if you’re cracking jokes like that, we can be a little more open as well.” The look Ruth had in her eyes let me know that underneath that slightly prim and proper facade was a woman after my own heart.

“Hmm, let me see if I can make this abundantly clear,” I began with a smirk of my own, deciding to throw all caution to the wind and fully embrace the dirty thoughts that filled my mind. “Shit. Fuck. Ass. Cunt. Cum. Clit. And, for good measure, please let me cum, Sir!” I cried out in an overly dramatic wail. We all burst into another round of giggles as I heard Zeke’s footsteps race down the hall towards us.

“Um, did I… I mean… Um…” he stammered, running a hand through his hair in confusion, and sparing a glance at his tented jeans, arousal evident.

“Yes, Sir?” I teased, as we all laughed. All save Zeke, that is. He looked at me with wide eyes.

“Um, I will just…” he trailed off, pointing back towards his office.

“Thank you, Sir,” I purred with a wink. He shook his head before heading back down the hallway to his study.

“You little minx!” Ruth exclaimed. “That would have gotten me a red ass, for sure!”
