“I was being guarded, honestly. It’s like you popped up at the wrong time, but then I had to think and process everything, like every little thing. Then it hit me that it’s the complete opposite. You popped up at the right time, I was just fighting it cause I was done with niggas.”
“You was finna jump in the lady pond?” I busted out laughing.
“Oh, hell no! No judgement to those ‘bout that life, but me, I could never. Nothing ‘bout a female turns me on. Strictly mens for me.”
“You mean man.”
“No, I meant men.”
“Don’t fuckin’ play.”
“You know what I meant.”
“Allat shit finna change.”
“We’ll see. I needed to take a break and focus on myself for a minute. I’m done dealing with drama, lies, and foolishness.”
“Gotta fuck with a man, not a boy.”
“For the longest, I wouldn’t even consider being in a relationship. That single life was everything, no lie,” KK rebutted. “I went through a phase, just out there doing the entire most. I guess you can say Jaysun was my karma.”
“Nah, that nigga just a goofy.” I laughed but was serious. “He fumbled a good one. Had no clue what he had on his arm. That’s why I stayed single… less stress. Shit don’t be worth it when you not with the person that’s for you.”
“I’m with you when you right,” KK agreed.
“That shit with that nigga don’t even matter. Daddy home, you ‘bout to be livin’ yo best life.”
“We gone see.”
I let KK have that final word as we approached the airport, cause she was right. SHE damn sho’ was about to see. I smirked as I headed toward the area to board the jet.
“You just passed the car rental place.”
“This not my first rodeo.”
By the time I parked the rental it was obvious that we were flying on a private jet.
“Not we flying private. Oh snap! Okay! I see you, big dawg.” KK beamed, pumping her fist in the air causing me to smile, as I opened the door and assisted her as she got out of the car.
“The biggest for my baby.”
As I took our luggage out of the trunk, even though it was still dark out, the area was lit up and I could tell that KK was blushing. The porter walked up with a cart and placed our bags on it then took them over to the jet and started loading them onto it.
While he loaded our bags, I held KK’s hand as we walked toward the stairs. Tito was waiting at the bottom of the steps for us.
“You just gon’ leave the car right there?”
“I told you this not my first rodeo.”
“Mr. McKinley, good to see you,” Tito greeted, with a dap.
“Hey buddy. You ready for this flight?”
“I stay ready.”
“This my lady, Kimberly. Kimberly this is our pilot, Tito.”
“Nice to meet you,” Tito greeted, with a large smile.
