He turned his computer screen so she could see it, then took her hand and eased her onto his lap. “Are you ready to launch the video out into the world?”
She exhaled a slow breath. “I am.”
He gestured to the keyboard. “Do the honors.”
Her finger hovered above the touchpad. “Come on, island magic,” she whispered and tapped send.
He picked up his phone.
She narrowed her gaze. “What are you doing?”
“Texting Phil to let him know I emailed the trailer,” he answered, hammering out a message.
Aria shifted on his lap and straddled him. She rested her forearms on his shoulders and rocked her hips.
Suddenly, texting Phil took a back seat to a quick make-out session with his favorite maestro. He did his best to send the message, haphazardly tapping away. Without another glance, he abandoned his cell and tossed it onto the table.
She played with the hair at the nape of his neck. “We did it. Do you think we’ve got time todo it?”
She was in naughty maestro mode.
He slipped his hand into her hair. “I love what this island air does to you.”
She purred a sultry little sound. “I can’t help it. My body and mind are in sync. I haven’t felt this connected to music and myself in years.”
He gripped the globes of her ass, falling prey to the sensual sway of her hips. “Speaking of exhilarating, I’m experiencing a—”
“Normal penis thing,” she finished with a sexy smirk.
The term didn’t even sound corny anymore.
“How long do you think we have before we’re expected at the inn?” he asked when his phone blared the song “Rock Lobster,” an oldie by the B-52’s.
“Why is that your ringtone?” Aria questioned, laughing as the whimsical song blasted.
“It’s for Del.”
“Why?”
“I’m sure you recall what happened last time he called, and I was caught off guard.”
Aria wet her lips with the tip of her tongue. “I recall it quite vividly.” She twisted her torso and plucked his cell from the table. “You better pick up. I have a feeling they’re waiting for us.”
He put the call on speakerphone. “Hey, Del, we’re on our way.”
“Hop to it. We’ve got the TV on. News Eleven opened the newscast with a quick snippet of the video. They said it’ll be the first story. They’re rolling the opening credits now. Hurry!” the man exclaimed.
The top story. That was amazing.
“Oh my gosh!” Aria replied, nearly falling off his lap.
He helped Aria to her feet and stuffed his laptop and camera into his bag. “We’ll be right there, Del.” His pulse raced as he ended the call and pocketed his cell.
Aria stood there, wide-eyed. “I thought your friend said he wasn’t sure if they’d air the video.”
“I guess they liked what they saw,” he replied, opening the door and holding it for her.
She passed through. “That has to be a good sign.”
