Sky

“Sky, I need youto handle the patient in room ten. Some guy has a tick bite, and it seems like the tick is still embedded. You’ll need to remove it. I’m needed in Labor and Delivery. It looks like there’s a baby boom in this town, and I’m the only available doctor.” Dr. Grey rushes past me, rattling off orders. “Remove the tick, order a Lyme titer test, and start him on doxycycline prophylactically.”

Like me, Dr. McGregor Grey works for a travel agency. He’s been in Wintervale for three months, while I’ve been here for nearly a year.

My nursing recruiter keeps urging me to take a higher-paying out-of-state position—one closer to my best friend, Grace. But I’m not ready to leave Wintervale and the sexy bartender I have a huge crush on.

Tucker and I have been dancing around each other longer than I care to admit. I spend most of my nights off sitting at the bar watching him, waiting for him to say more than five words to me.

Three months ago, I thought we had made real progress, but suddenly, the next thing I knew, we're back to barely talking.

“Got it.” I nod, not bothering to write his orders down until it’s time to chart. We see a lot of tick bites because of the beautiful, wooded area that people love to hike in. “Where’s the tick located?” I don’t like to go in without knowing all the facts.

“I’m not sure. I didn’t get a chance to go into his room before I was called to deliver the twins, who are set to be born three weeks early, while half the doctors here are out with a GI virus.”

Half the doctors and half the nurses, to be exact. We’ve all had to step in and do things we usually don’t do—like removing a tick. I’ve seen it done a ton of times, I’ve just never been the one to remove it and make sure to keep the head intact.

“Okay, Sky, I’m leaving the Urgent Care in your capable hands.” McGregor squeezes my shoulder. “You got this.” I nod as he runs toward the emergency stairs, heading up five flights to the labor and delivery department—I’m sure without breaking a sweat, he’s so fit, it ought to be a sin.

“Alright, Mr. Tick, here I come.” I grab a blunt-end forceps and head to room ten.

With a quick knock on the exam room door, I push down on the handle and shoulder my way in, only to come face to face with my crush and his brother, Travis.

“Tucker. Travis. What are you doing here?” It’s a silly question--one I wish I could take back. Clearly, one of them has the tick bite. “I mean, which one of you has the tick bite?”

“Oh, this is too good.” Travis bursts out laughing. It's the most emotion I’ve seen out of him since he broke up with my best friend, Grace, months ago.

Grace and I met while both working as travel nurses. The assignment in Wintervale was our third job working together.I thought we might have found a permanent home, especially when she started dating Travis, and I was convinced Tucker and I would begin dating. But no such luck—she left town with a broken heart, and I’ve waited far too long for Tucker to ask me out.

“Shut up, Travis.” Tucker grits his teeth and glares at his brother. “Is there a male doctor or male nurse available?” He shifts his gaze to mine.

I’ve never seen Tucker act so chauvinistic before. “Sorry, but you’ll have to deal with me. We’re short on staff today, so it’s either I help you or you and your little friend become better acquainted.” I square my shoulders and meet his gaze, waiting for him to say more about wanting a man to handle the tick for him.

We’ve never spoken this much before, but instead of being shy, I’m angry at myself for thinking Tucker was the perfect guy when he’s obviously not.

He hesitates for a heartbeat. “It’s not you. It’s just that the tick is ah…located on my…”

“His dick—he has a tick on his dick. The tick latched on while he was taking a leak in the woods while we were fishing.” Travis laughs. “He has a tick on his dick and you’re the one who has to remove it.”

Tucker’s face turns bright red—based on how my cheeks feel, I’m sure mine are the same. “Okay. I’ll need you to remove your pants and underwear so I can take out the tick.” I’m proud thatmy voice doesn’t shake when I ask him to strip until I see where the lucky tick has decided to feed. Tucker pulls his pants and underwear down his thighs, giving me an unobstructed view of his perfect shaft. “Oh, my.” I sigh, taking a seat on the roller stool to get a better eye-level view of where the tick is located.

In my three years as a nurse, I’ve seen plenty of penises, but nothing prepared me for Tucker. It doesn’t help that I’m a virgin and only looked at those other penises clinically, not sexually. But with Tucker, I can’t stop thinking about his size and how hard he is right now, or how it would feel to have all that length and girth inside me, minus the tick.

Tucker grabs his shaft with his right hand, unfortunately covering up a large part of it, and positions himself to give me a better view of the tick that has attached itself to the lower part of Tucker’s penis, above his groomed balls. I quickly clenched my thighs together to relieve the pressure on my clit as it throbs with need.

With shaky hands, I scoot closer to Tucker, my face inches from his half-naked body, and inhale deeply. He smells clean with only a hint of male sweat.

“Did you just smell him?” Travis can hardly stand—he’s laughing so hard at this point.

“I said shut up, Travis.” In his anger, Tucker accidentally lets go of his penis, causing it to bounce in my direction and hit me across the face, my lips grazing its hot, hard length.

“Oh my god, this is too much! You just slapped her in the face with your dong!” Tears are streaming down Travis’s face. “I can’t wait to tell Turner and Tanner.”

Tucker grabs for his shaft, giving me an apologetic look before turning back to Travis. “Get out! Don’t you dare tell our brothers about this. And who calls it a dong nowadays anyway?”

Dong.
