“Still, it’s a solid start,” Jay Bird added.
“What’s this Adam guy like?”Snow asked.
Riley shrugged like she wasn’t impressed.“I mean, I won’t lie.He is very attractive and charming.And I’m sure he uses those as a weapon to lure people in.But you can see the arrogance in his charm.He definitely keeps the security tight around the club.”She glanced at Nails.“You’ll see what I’m talking about when you get in there.”
“What type of security do they have?”Aussie asked.
“A lot of keypads to access different areas.And there are cameras everywhere.”
“If they have cameras, then they must have a surveillance room or something, right?”Bear asked.
“Yep.However, getting access to it is going to take some work.”
“Why is that?”Nails asked.
She told them what Adam told her about the second floor being strictly off limits.He also confirmed that they pay out cash after each shift and that all transactions inside the club are done with money, no paper trail.
“If that doesn’t sound shady, then I don’t know what is,” Duke muttered.
“No kidding,” she said.
Jay Bird asked the question next.“So, what does your job entail?”
“I’ll be a hostess in the VIP area.”
Bear arched a brow.“VIP area?Is that normal for someone new?”
“I thought the same thing, and I even asked him.But he said that I’d be a perfect fit there, and that the VIPs were going to love me.”
Nails’ jaw flexed.“Perfect fit, how?”
“I don’t know.I’m just supposed to escort VIPs to their tables, serve drinks, and make sure that the atmosphere is enjoyable.”
His brow went up.“Enjoyable?”
She laughed.“Relax.I already made it clear that I am not there to strip or offer any sexual entertainment.”
She went on to tell them about the layout of the club, including the private VIP rooms.“Seriously, if you didn’t know what was happening in there, you would think it was just a normal upscale strip club.But I really think that the key to finding what happened to Anna is going to be inside that surveillance room or maybe even Adam’s office.”
“How would you get up there?”Aussie asked.
“One way is to play nice with Adam.He’s already shown he’s interested in me as more than an employee.”
Jay Bird leaned back.“Met the guy once and he already wants you in his bed?”
Her eyes went straight to Nails.He didn’t say a word, but his expression told her precisely what he thought about that.And she knew damn well he was working hard not to let it show in front of the others.
“Let’s just say that if that opportunity came up, I don’t think he’d be opposed to it.”
Nails snorted.“Asshole,” he said under his breath and took a slug from his beer.
She grinned.“Don’t worry.I’m not planning on ending up in his bed.”
“So, you start tomorrow?”Joker asked.
“Yep.”She looked at Nails.“How about you?”
“I start tomorrow as well.”
