I felt his hands slide over my bottom, then pull it apart.

Lifting my head, I glanced over my shoulder to see what he was doing. Because as incredible as that had been, I was not open for business in the other hole.

There was a predatory gleam in his eyes as he stared between my legs. “Squeeze your cunt muscles for me,” he instructed.

I realized then he wasn’t checking out my ass, but he was watching his semen as it leaked from me. I bit my bottom lip as I smiled and did as he’d requested. I could feel it trickle out onto my inner thighs.

“Mmm,” he murmured. He said nothing more, but watched with fascination.

When he finally lifted his eyes to mine, he smirked. “The onlything hotter than the sight of your wet pink pussy is seeing my cum oozing out of it.”

I laughed, then buried my face in my hands. When he started the dirty talk and we weren’t worked up, having sex or about to, I was shy about it.

He chuckled. “Come here.” His hand wrapped around my arm, and he helped me stand back up. “Are your cheeks pink from blushing or flushed from fucking?” he asked, curling me into his arms.

“Both,” I replied against his chest.

“My naughty writer is blushing over my obsession with seeing her pussy leaking my cum. That’s cute.”

I laughed. He was right, of course. I’d written more explicit things than what we’d just done.

“We have thirty minutes before the ball drops,” he said, pressing his lips against my temple. “Let’s open the champagne and have some of the treats. I’ll wait until after the fireworks before I get you naked.”

“Can we see the ball drop from here?” I asked, lifting my head to look back at the window.

I hadn’t paid close enough attention when we came inside. Most of the curtains had been pulled together. The part that was open in the middle didn’t show much more than the lights from outside.

“It’s our first New Year’s Eve together. Hell yeah, you can see the ball drop from here. Would Draven have gotten Hannah a fucking hotel room that didn’t overlook Times Square?”

I grinned and looked back up at him. “No,” I replied.

“That fucker ain’t gonna outdo me.”

Twenty-One

Noa

We were curled up on the sofa—where Ransom had moved it so that it was not only beside the Christmas tree, but in direct view of the New Year’s Eve ball—and nothing else mattered. Not right now. Maybe it would later, but I wanted to memorize every detail of this moment. Keep it close. The warmth, the joy, the feeling of peace. As if I were finally home. Not my apartment. That was just where I lived. Home was a place I’d been searching for all my life. Ransom Carver’s arms had been that magical location all along.

“Might want to deal with this,” Ransom said as he leaned forward to take my phone I’d left on the table, which he’d also pulled closer so that we had easy access to the champagne and treats. “Keeps lighting up.”

I looked down at my cell to see Jellie’s name and winced. Shit! I had forgotten all about her and the VIP party I had vanishedfrom without a word.

Sliding my hand over the screen to answer, I glanced up at Ransom.

“Hey, I am so sorry. My phone was on silent,” I said to her before she could say anything.

“OH-MY-GOD, Noa! Where are you? I’ve called at least twenty times!”

She was sober now. I guessed mymissing personthing had done that to her.

“I’m sorry,” I repeated, feeling guilty. “I …” I paused as I stared at Ransom questioningly.

What did I tell her? She knew little about him. Did he want anyone to know he was here?

He nodded his head, as if for me to continue.

Do I tell her I’m with you?I mouthed silently.
