Not Karima. Damn.
Hopefully we’d have more luck at the next game.

On Thursday Ash got home from her business trip. Which was great. Because now I could watch her on my apartment security cameras. She started doing her hair and makeup. I zoomed in as she slipped into a sexy lace bodysuit that was open in the front. Her tits looked amazing. I made sure to hold my phone higher than Jacob so he couldn’t check out my redhead.
Ash snapped a selfie and started texting. I couldn’t wait to see what she was going to say to me. But...the text never came through.
Had she sent it to someone else?
“There!” said Jacob.
I looked up from my phone to see who he was pointing to. It was another beautiful redhead. And definitely not Princess Karmia. “Her hair is going to be more like that.” I pointed to a brunette.
“Nooooo,” said Jacob.
“Who exactly are we looking for?” asked Matt.
“Son, pay attention to the game.”

Friday was Veterans Day. And Ash sent me a picture of herself in a skintight American flag dress. The text read: “This dress is amazing. Some lucky vet is gonna love ripping it off me.”
Hmmm…The Veterans Day party at the Society usually did get pretty wild. Was tonight the night where she was finally going to have sex with someone else?
A few hours later my phone beeped. But it wasn’t a text from Ash. It was an alert that my front door had been opened. I logged in to my security feed to see if Ash had brought a gentleman suitor home. But instead it was a video of Ghazi.
He looked up at the cameras and wagged his finger in the sassiest way.
And then he texted me: “I can’t let you watch. It’s an invasion of Ash’s privacy.”
I tried to log back into my security feed, but I’d been kicked out.
Son of a bitch.
“Abuelo.” Jacob tugged on my arm. “Are you okay?”
“What?” I looked down at him.
“Are you sad? I don’t like when you’re sad.”
Did he often think I was sad?
I cleared my throat. I didn’t want the young lad to see me upset. “No, I’m good.” I smiled.
Brooklyn gave me a look.
“I am.”
“Well, your granddaughter and I are here if you want to talk,” she said.
Brooklyn always seemed to know when I was upset. And I guess her son had gotten that talent. But I couldn’t talk to any of them about this. I cleared my throat. “I’m just upset about that last run out. To see such a promising partnership cut short on such poor running is devastating.” I slid my phone back into my pocket. I shouldn’t have been checking my security feed anyway. I was supposed to be looking for freaking Princess Karmia.
“Here,” said Brooklyn and handed me Chloe. “Babies make everything better.”
I looked down at my granddaughter. She smiled up at me.
