“Thanks, Ghostie!” I said. I stood on my tiptoes and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Now go wait on the plane like a good boy.” I slapped his ass and shooed him off.
And then the skyopened up.
“Ahhh!” I screamed. “Ghostie! Save us!”
He just grunted and walked off. But somehow the rain never touched my head. Or any of my bridesmaids.
I looked around in confusion.
Was this a bachelorette party miracle? The work of God?!
No. It was the work of Teddybear.
He’d come out of nowhere with two umbrellas and saved us from getting absolutely drenched.
“Teddybear! My savior!”
He smiled down at me.
“Get us to Club Ice without any of us getting a drop of rain on our dresses, and I’ll give you a special surprise next week.”
He nodded and walked us over to a limo.
Fifteen minutes later we were at Club Ice. Teddybear once again held umbrellas over us as we walked to the entrance of the club. The rain dripping off the ice-like façade created a cool melting effect.
“Don’t we have to wait in line?” asked Ash, pointing to the massive line wrapping all the way around the building.
“Watch and learn.” I strutted right up to the bouncer. But he moved to block our path.
“ID please,” he said.
“It’s my bachelorette party.” I pointed half at my bride-to-be sash and half at my breasts.
“I still have to make sure you’re 21.”
What the hell?It was annoying, but I’d planned for it. I reached into my clutch and pulled out a fake ID for each of us. “Here you go.”
He took them and squinted. And then he disappeared into the club.
“What’d you just give him?” asked Ash.
“Our IDs.”
“But…my ID is in my clutch.” She pulled it out and waved it around.
“Put that away! I gave him ourotherIDs.”
“Other IDs? Like passports?”
“No,” said Slavanka. “Chastity use fake documents. Illegal. And sexy.”
Ash’s eyes got huge. “Fake IDs?! Are you trying to get us thrown in jail?”
“No. Be cool. I bet he just went inside to make sure the VIP lounge is ready for us. Why are you so wet, by the way? Did Teddybear forget to cover you?”
Ash mumbled something.
“What was that?” I asked.
