“What is your life?” asked Ash.
“Amazing. Just like these outfits for phase 3 of the plan.” I pulled three leather catsuits out of the duffel bag. “Let’s take turns shooting at the guards while we change. And then it’s time for the great escape.”
Ash stared at me. “Great escape?”
“It’s probably better if I don’t tell you until it’s time. Just put that on.”
The guards eventually regained their composure and got ready to storm our little hideout behind the bar, but then I told them that a double dose of Viagra might make their dicks explode. After that, they wisely holed up behind various pieces of furniture while the banana king yelled at them for being a bunch of pussies.
The only thing wrong with my plan was that there was no mirror behind this bar, because I desperately wanted to see how hot I looked in this catsuit.
“I’m confused,” said Ash. “Why are the tops of my boots different heights?”
“Uh…it’s kind of the latest trend.”How does she not know that?
“And what exactly are these outfits supposed to be?” She adjusted her cat mask and then grabbed the ass-length red braid attached to it. “Are we getting ready to steal fine art from the Met? Or are we about to be dominated at a weird leather sex party?”
“Neither.” I pulled the final items out of my duffel bag – three spools of rope, each 700 feet long.
I tied the end of each to the bar and then rolled the spools towards the edge of the roof deck.
“Please tell me we’re not about to do what I think we we’re about to do.”
“That depends,” I said. “Do you think we’re about to rappel down the side of this building?”
“Yes.”
“Then you’re correct.” I tossed them each some specially designed clips.
“Holy shit,” said Ash. “You’re serious?”
“Yeah. I know you’re probably afraid of heights, but…”
“Why would I be afraid of heights?”
“Wait, are you not?”
“Not really. Are you?”
“No...”What the hell? Was Ash seriously not scared of heights? She was legit scared of everything. Maybe the banana juice was starting to work its magic again?
“Great. Then let’s get the hell off this roof before the banana king makes me walk that runway ass naked.” She stood up, shot a few warning darts at the guards, and then made a run for the edge of the roof.
Slavanka and I were right behind her.
Running top speed towards the edge of a skyscraper was way scarier than I expected. But seeing Ash charge ahead somehow made me keep going. If she could do it, then I certainly could.
“What do we do when we get to the edge?!” yelled Ash.
“I don’t know!”
“What?! How do you not know!? This was your plan!”
“Just keep running!”
I held my breath as I got to the edge of the roof. But I kept my legs moving. And in a second I was running down the side of the building like I was in a James Bond movie.
“Ahhh!” yelled Ash. “This is freaking awesome!”
