I pull away from him, panting. “We don’t have to do anything,” I say.
Something close to hurt flashes across Cody’s face. “Are you kidding me? You don’t want this?”
“Oh, trust me, I want this. But I don’t want you to, you know, feel any pressure… to feel you have to take things further just because you invited me here…”
His eyes soften. “I appreciate your concern for my virtue.”
I huff out a laugh. “Yeah, it’s a war between my concern for your virtue and what I want to do with you. It’s an epic battle.”
He leans forward and ghosts his lips over mine. “I’m totally onboard with us doing what you want,” he whispers.
My breath hitches.
His touch is tentative as he runs his fingers down my side, leaving my skin tingling.
Yeah, I’m supposed to be the experienced one in this situation. But somehow the fact it’s Cody touching me wipes my mind blank.
He wraps his hand around me.
Holy shit.
“Is this okay?” he asks.
“It’s definitely okay,” I manage to gasp. “One would even say it’s bordering on the territory of epic.”
He huffs out a laugh, and I feel the puff of breath on my skin.
“I guess I have to work hard to make sure it reaches epic,” he says.
And then we’re kissing again and Cody’s touching me and how is it possible that something can feel this incredible?
Eventually I manage to get with the program and work out the reciprocal thing, so I’m stroking him at the same time he’s touching me.
His eyes flutter shut.
And I watch his face carefully, looking for the signs I’m getting the rhythm and pressure right.
His mouth is slightly open, and I sense by his rapid rise and fall of his chest that he’s getting close.
He opens his eyes, and his dark pupil has eclipsed the blue.
“Ryan,” he says.
And my mouth is back on his, and we’re kissing as Cody shudders. And feeling him go triggers me, and I’m adding to the sticky mess between us. Cody slowly pulls his mouth away from mine.
“Oh wow,” he says.
I flop back on the pillow. “That’s a good wow, right?”
“Oh hell yes.”
My heart is thumping so hard it’s surprising it’s staying in my chest. And I don’t think it’s purely due to the athletic portion of what we just did.
I’ve gotten off with other people before, but it has never, ever been like this.
Cody reaches for his discarded T-shirt and wipes at the mess between us. Then he lies down next to me.
“I’m so glad…” he begins, then stops
