“Asa… Baby, look at me.”

Jules??

Fingers touch my face. He’s holding me still, stroking my hair.

I can breathe better when he’s around. The fear releases its grip on my throat.

“Where… where…” I gasp, unable to get the words out.

“We’re in the woods,” Jules says calmly. “Everything is fine, Asa. Nothing happened…”

“I… slept?” I gulp, glancing around the swampy forest.

It’s definitely darker than when we were fucking.

“Yes,” Jules whispers. “Just a little. But nothing bad happened, Asa. You just slept, and it was fine.” I nod, releasing a ragged breath. “How do you feel?”

My fingers dig into the ground. “Kinda sore…”

He chuckles, and I bite my lip. He tugs it from between my teeth with his fingers, dropping a slow kiss there.

“Do you really… love me?” He asks, insecurity in his voice that warms my chest.

I nod. “Yea… Do you love me?”

“I really do…” He tilts his head. “Is it crazy to love someone you’ve only known for a week?”

“If it’sme, then yea,” I murmur.

He purses his lips. I think he’s about to say something, but a devilish sound startles us. Our heads whip.

It’s that fuckin goose.

It’s squawking at us.

“What the hell does it want??” Jules rumbles, inching away when we notice that it’s kinda coming toward us.

“Shit… Do our dicks look like food to it or something??” I grab my pants.

Jules laughs, but the thing squawks again and we both scream.

“What the fuck!?”

“Bob, stay back!”

The goose spreads its wings, charging us. We scramble to get up, but it’s coming fast, faster than I thought a bird could run.

“Jesus Christ!” I grab Jules, shielding him with my body.

“Asa!” He growls, fighting me.

“Bob, I will fuck you up!” I growl.

Out of nowhere, something else moves.Lunges.

It’s an alligator. It rushes right up out of the murky water, jaws open wide.

And it fucking chomps the goose.
