“Oh fuck!!” I scream, clutching Jules for dear life.

“What’s happening!?” Jules peeks over my shoulder, eyes widening in horror. “Almighty Steve Irwin!”

The bird screams, and I cover my ears, blood gushing as the gator traps it with its sharp teeth, dragging the thing helplessly back to the water.

“He’s just gonna fucking eat it right there…?” I mumble, completely paralyzed in terror and fascination.

“I can’t watch this,” Jules whimpers. “Let’s get the fuck out of here before he decides he wants dessert.”

We jump to our feet, dressing fast. I grab Jules by the hand, pulling him with me, giving the gator a wide berth to munch on the goose, who’s barely even all the way dead yet.

“Shouldn’ta crossed us, Bob.” I shake my head.

“Not funny.” Jules, holds his stomach. “I think I’m gonna be sick.”

We walk for a few, and my mind is reeling. I’m trying to remember the fear of having slept, but right now all I can focus on is the mental image of a gator mauling a goose.

“Hey…” I peek at Jules. “That goose didn’t um… almost attack us because I fell asleep, right?”

Jules gives me a sympathetic look, squeezing my hand. “No, baby. Plus, you were awake to witness it, right?”

I nod. “Yea… I guess you’re right. How long did we sleep for?”

“I think at least an hour. Maybe two.”

“Jesus Christ.” I rub my face.

“But the point is thatnothing happened, Asa,” he says surely. “And we were kinda in a dangerous place. If you slept in, say, my bed with me…” I grin, and he winks. “You’d be able to sleep much more soundly.”

“But what if… something baddoeshappen?” I hate how vulnerable I sound, but I can’t help it. I’m still scared.

“Then it’ll be because that’s fucking life,” he sighs. “Sometimes bad shit just happens, baby. It’s no one’s fault. You can’t prevent it… All you can do is learn to accept it, and find as much joy and happiness as possible.”

Eyes lingering on him while we walk, I can’t believe I found someone like him. I went from being straight and scared, never really knowing myself, to falling in love with a man who wants to be there for me, and hold me when I’m afraid.

Regardless of how fast, I think Jules coming into my life is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

We get back to Riot Park, walking up the road hand in hand, without a fuck to give in the world.

People give me weird looks in this place all the time. What’s the worst that could happen if I date a guy?

“I desperately need to shower,” I huff. “I think I have grass in my ass.”

Jules laughs out loud. “You are so unbelievably hot… It’s not even fair.”

I smirk at him as we approach our trailers. “I can’t believe I let you fuck me…” I bite my lip.

“Mm… I can’t believe how much youlovedit.” He grins, and my cheeks flush. “For your first time, you really took to it like a horny fish to water.”

I chuckle, leaning in to kiss his jaw. “I can’t wait to do it again,”

“Oh yea… You’re a power bottom, for sure.” I gasp, and he snorts. “Too bad… Your dick is fuckinghuge. I can definitely see letting that thing turn me out.”

Pulling back, I give him a look of outrage. “That’s it. You’re coming into the shower with me, and I’m fucking you against the wall.”

Jules wiggles his brows as I tug him along, up the steps into my trailer.

“I’ve never actually been in here before.” He looks around while I immediately start stripping. He wraps his arms around himself. “It’s fucking freezing. You always keep the AC on full blast?”
