With a smile and a hammering heart, I responded.
“I’m yours. Always.”
We then made love on the floor all hours of the night until our bodies were spent.
Until our souls became one.
Until there was nothing else left besides the undeniable love that was so effortlessly taken by the one man who I should have never wanted.
If only he actually felt the same…

Blog Entry #10:
I’m in love with Mr. Hockey.
Please tell me I’m doing the right thing by letting myself fall for him.
Today was officially the one-month mark where Mal would be able to play again. After an in-depth exam of how his shoulder looked, Trevor and Mal’s doctor agreed that he had fully healed and would be able to play in the home game tomorrow.
My chest had swelled with pride as his whole face had lit up from the news. He worked so hard, so diligently to be able to get back out onto the ice and finally, here was his chance.
I was beyond proud.
Before Trevor had left the room, Mal pulled him aside and thanked him for everything, which stunned Trevor into silence. He wasn’t expecting that, and neither was I.
Once everyone had left the room, leaving only Mal and I, he snatched my arm and tugged me down into his lap.
“God, I’m so proud of you.” I tried turning myself to the side so I could cup his face in my palm but he quickly halted that when his face fell into the crook of my neck.
“Couldn’t have done it without you,” he spoke along the base of my neck, causing my thighs to clench.
He was insatiable.
“Yes, you could have,” I berated. “That was all you.”
I wouldn’t let him downplay all the work he had put in or the effort, because in the end, it was all on him whether he wanted to play again or not.
“I may have done all the physical work, but you gave me the strength to do it.”
His honesty rocked me to my core.
Frozen in his lap, I let his mouth then bring me back to reality.
“That’s why I’m taking you out tonight, on a date.” He pulled away from my neck to catch my reaction.
My stare swung toward his.
“A date? You mean, like, our first date?”
Endless flutters erupted inside my belly. Especially now that he was grinning from ear to ear.
“Yes.”
