“She crawled on my lap, legs straddling mine.”
“Were her legs strong?” asked Moose.
“Dude, what the fuck?”
“Answer the fucking question,” said Moose, slamming a fist on the table.
“Yes! Yes, okay, her legs were strong. It was hot. She squeezed my thighs several times, and it felt good. She was, she was rocking back and forth, and I was taking her shirt off, sort of lost in it all. Then I felt something pinch my neck.”
“Did you stop?” asked Tobias.
“I-I think I did. That’s where I start losing my memory. It wasn’t enough to make me yell in pain or anything, but I think my hands fell from her body. Then I felt her, no, that’s not right. I saw her pushing me down to the sofa. She even put a pillow beneath my head. I just remember looking up at her, thinking that was the fastest orgasm I’ve ever had.”
“What do you remember after that?” asked Moose.
“Nothing. Absolutely fucking nothing. I woke up on my front lawn. One of my neighbors thought I was hurt. I’m not a big drinker, so they weren’t worried about that. He’s in the Navy as well, and when he realized something was wrong with me, he called for help.”
“Where did the woman live?” asked Nate.
“She had an apartment on Ninth, but don’t bother. CID and the Coronado police visited the address several times. The apartment was empty. Nothing was found. No furniture, no DNA evidence, nothing.”
The three VG men stared at one another.
“And you remember absolutely nothing?” asked Moose.
“Dude, if I did, I’d spill my guts. My whole career may be ended because of this, and I didn’t do shit except, as you pointed out, followed my dick.”
The other three victims looked at the man, feeling his embarrassment and hatred for himself. They understood and were feeling much of the same.
“Look, don’t beat yourself up about this. This was well-planned and executed. Whoever is behind this knows what they’re doing. We’ll find them, okay?”
“Well, if anyone can, it’s you guys,” said Quentin.
“You’re next,” said Moose, looking at Quentin.
“Mine is a bit different. I’d seen this girl before, and she approached me a few times, but I was always with other guys.”
“Did she know that?” asked Moose.
“Yeah. I told her, one of the last times I saw her, that if she had a friend, it would make it easier for us. She said she was new to the area, so I said I’d meet her at the same bar again the next day.”
“What happened?” asked Tobias.
“I showed up. She was there. Different girl than the one with Zane. This girl had long dark hair, emerald-green eyes, legs for fucking days. We had a few drinks, and I was feeling tired.”
“She drugged the drink,” nodded Tobias to the others.
“Looking back, yeah, I think she did. She said she’d give me a lift home, but we ended up at her place. We started making out, and she said pilots made her hot,” he groaned to himself. “I’m a fucking idiot.”
“Maybe,” smirked Nate, “but she knew how to play you. Did she ask you questions about being a pilot?”
“She did. Asked what kind of planes I flew. I said nothing about the experimental jet. I swear to God. That’s when everything goes dark. I felt a sting on my shoulder and woke up three days later on a deck chair at the Hotel Del Coronado. The pool boy thought I was dead and called the cops.”
“And you remember nothing?” asked Moose. The guy shook his head and looked at Lucas.
“Mine was almost exactly like his experience,” said Lucas. “Sounds like the same girl. Long dark hair, green eyes, fucking tanned legs for days. The only difference was she said she worked on base and had seen me but was nervous to approach me since I was a pilot.”
“Did you believe her?” asked Moose.
