“You’ll be out of money by the end of the month,” laughed one of the girls. “You have to be smart.”

“We’ll never be out of money. We get royalties on this.”

Ulani stared at the others, frowning. Royalties? What the hell was happening here?

“Where are they today?” asked a girl.

“I’m pretty sure they’re at the SDCC.”

Wyatt stood, tapping the shoulder of Rush, Christian, Ethan, and HG. Ani and Kelsey stood with Ulani, and they all walked toward the table, standing over the girls. One of them turned, looking up at the group.

“Uh, can we help you?” she said sarcastically.

“Yeah, you can,” said Wyatt. “You can tell me why you drug pilots, cops, and a myriad of others for money.”

The girls all paled, one of them attempting to get up.

“You’re not going anywhere,” said Ulani. “We’ll be calling the police to come and get the four of you. Then we’ll be calling your parents.”

“We didn’t hurt anyone!”

“You drugged men, and some of you had sex with them. That’s rape. I’m going to bet that one of you was stupid enough to wear fake fingernails, which will match the DNA we found on a lost nail,” said Ethan. One of the girls giggled.

“Whatever. Besides, like some dude is going to claim that a girl raped him,” she laughed.

Ani gripped her ponytail, jerking her head backwards. Tears flooded the girl’s eyes as she looked up at Ani.

“Listen to me, you crazy little bitch. I don’t give a shit that you’re some punk-ass teenager. Girl to girl, I will kick your little ass. Do you know what other women will do to you in prison?” The girl started crying, and the others were crying now as well.

People in the restaurant turned to stare, and BJ walked around giving a brief explanation, or something resembling an explanation.

“What do you want from us?” asked one of the girls.

“Where are the men who recruited you?” asked Ulani.

“They’re at SDCC.”

“SDCC?” asked Ulani.

“Yeah. The convention center.”

“Why?”

“God, are you lame or what?” Ani smacked the back of her head, and she started crying again.

“Answer the damn question.”

“Fine. Just stop hitting me. It’s the gaming convention.” They all stared at her, confused. “Geez, games. Like video games.”

“That’s what you were doing?”

“Yeah. How else could they make it realistic? We get them the guys they need. We get five grand every time, and then we each get two percent of the profits from the games.”

“Did you get that shit in writing?” frowned Kev. The girls looked at one another, then back at him. “You didn’t, did you? Which means they have no legal reason to give you shit. God, you’re young and stupid.”

Several police officers walked into the restaurant, and Wyatt waved them over.

“You can’t be serious! We’re being arrested?”
