He takes my hand and helps me step into the shower. I stand there as he picks up the washcloth and soap, lathering up with way more than I’m used to using back at home. I tilt my head back, so my hair doesn’t get wet and part my legs, watching him with interest. He kneels down on the outside of the shower and starts to wash my feet before moving upwards. My blood runs slightly cooler when I realise, he’s done this before. It brings me back to what Xander said about him.
“I suppose we should actually learn stuff about each other,” I murmur.
“What do you want to know?”
“How did you become a member of the most prestigious pack in England?”
He looks up at me, those gorgeous eyes smiling. “Seb’s dad and mine went to Harrow together. I practically grew up in this house, even though I only lived a few houses away.”
“Oh,” I say, that makes sense. They’re so posh, although Sebastian has more of an edge to his accent where Benjamin’s is refined. “Can I ask something really personal?”
He nods. “Of course. Open book for you.”
I love the added touch of ‘for you’. “Did you grow up in a pack or solo?”
“Solo. All of the St. James alphas chose to be solo mated couples. It is only recently that packs with one omega became the norm.”
“I know,” I say lightly. “My mum and dad were a solo mated couple.”
“Sorry,” he says. “I didn’t mean to sound patronising.”
“You didn’t. So, what do you do for a living?”
“I’m retired,” he replies with a wicked smirk.
I blink. “Oh. How old are you?”
He snorts. “Thirty-two. It’s not as entitled as it sounds. I invested wisely.”
“Now I’m intrigued. What did youusedto do?”
He runs the washcloth up the outside of my thigh, making me tingle. “Investment banking.”
“Ah, okay. That makes sense.”
He nods. “It’s still a full-time job though to make sure the investments stay profitable.”
It’s all over my head so I just nod. I freeze when the washcloth slips between my legs, and he cleans up my slick mixed with his cum. He is holding his breath, his eyes dark with lust.
“You’re good at this,” I murmur and then wince as his eyes shoot up to mine in question.
“Ask what’s on your mind,” he says quietly.
“It’s nothing.”
“Faith. I have no secrets from you,” he says seriously.
Again the ‘from you’ goes a long way.
“It’s just something that Xander said that’s playing on my mind.”
He stops what he’s doing for a moment, but then proceeds to run the washcloth over my stomach. “What did he say?”
“Don’t blame him. I asked him if Sebastian was being honest when he said that you’d all been faithful to the idea of me. I found it a bit unbelievable.”
“And he told you what about me?” His tone is steady, but his eyes tell me he is furious.
“He said that none of you had taken an omega to your bed during your rut. Not even you.”
