Zach’s pace increases, his hips snapping forcefully against Hazel’s. The wet sounds of their fucking fill the air, punctuated by his low grunts and her muffled moans. Noah leans down to capture one of her nipples in his mouth, sucking and nibbling as his hand drifts lower to circle her clit.
Hazel’s body goes taut, trembling on the edge of release. Her muffled cries of ecstasy fill the room as Zach drives into her with abandon, chasing his climax.
With a final thrust, Zach buries himself to the hilt, his body shuddering as he empties himself inside her, throwing his head back in pleasure. I can feel my cock growing hard again, but we have to move out. She will fall into a lucid period now after so many knots, and she can’t know that we were ever here.
Once Zach’s knot deflates, and he pulls out, we wash her down thoroughly and withdraw quietly, leaving Hazel to come to on her own, with her fevered dreams and loosening grip on reality.
Climbing out through the kitchen window into the pitch black of night, I push it closed and leap over theback fence into the park, joining Zach and Noah as we make our way silently back to the rented house.
Zach is already watching back the videos he made of us taking Hazel in that intense way he has, but I ignore him and shove Noah on the shoulder. “You aren’t telling the truth about that phone call with Leah. Spill it.”
Noah’s eyes narrow as he glances at me. “Perceptive as always, Carter,” he says, his voice low. “You’re right, there’s more to it. That magician who tried to get Hazel to assist him at Leah’s party all those years ago also abused her.”
That punches me in the gut, “What?” I growl, forcing him to a stop as Zach looks up from his phone with a stricken stare. “How do you know that?”
“She told me. One night, she got really drunk, and she confessed it all to me. He raped her in the cupboard. She never told anyone. I don’t think she even remembers telling me.”
I can see the toll it takes on him to reveal this information, but I am pissed off. “You should’ve come clean about this immediately.”
Noah’s jaw clenches as he meets my gaze. “It wasn’t my secret to tell, Carter.”
“This changes things,” Zach interjects, his voice tight with anger. “We need to find this bastard.”
I nod in agreement, my mind reeling from this devastating news. For a moment, I hate myself for doing this to her. But then my resolve hardens. She left us. She deserves this.
But this revelation is killing me inside. My protective instincts are in overdrive, warring with the possessive need to shatter her completely before we rebuild her.
“I want everything you know about this. Every detail Hazel told you that night. We’re going to hunt this fucker down and make him pay.”
Noah nods solemnly. “I’ve been trying. I got in touch with Leah six years ago, right after Hazel told me. She literally just called me back today. I think whatever happened to Hazel might’ve happened to her as well.”
“Leah has been out of the country almost since that party. How?” I ask with a frown. “Was this magician someone they knew?”
“I’m starting to think that,” Noah says. “It makes sense on the timeline. Leah was skittish on the phone. Almost as if she wasn’t used to speaking to people. I think she has shut down or been institutionalised, maybe? She definitely didn’t want to talk about the magician. She hung up on me when I asked.”
“Fuck,” I growl. “And we’ve been using the masked magicians to torment her, and all along, you knew this. You are a first-class fucker, Noah. You knew how this would affect her.”
“It’s fucking worked, hasn’t it? She has unravelled far quicker because of it.”
I can’t deny that, but I still feel sick. Yes, what we have done to Hazel tonight is no better, but it’sus. We love her. We want to be with her. She is ours to punish, not some random masked fucker that abused her whenshe was a child. I will kill the fuck out of this cunt if I ever get my hands on him.
We walk in tense silence for several minutes, each lost in our own thoughts. The revelation about Hazel’s past trauma has shifted something between us, adding a new layer of complexity to our already twisted situation.
As we approach the rented house, I grab Noah’s arm, forcing him to face me. “We need a new plan,” I say, my voice low and dangerous. “This changes everything.”
Noah nods, his expression grim. “Agreed. We need to move up this timeline. We need to work on isolating her completely, so much so that she will refuse to leave her house.”
I pinch the bridge of my nose, frustration and conflicting emotions warring within me. “We alter our approach. I think we need to think bigger. We need to get her out of her house, away from everyone. We need to take her and lock her away where only we can get to her. Donoghue, this masked magician arsehole and anyone else who thinks they can have a piece of her needs to know she is not theirs.”
“You’re talking about abducting her?”
“I’m talking about going to her, revealing myself as the old friend, the good guy. The one she can trust. I will bring her to us willingly.”
“Yes,” Zach breathes, his eyes shining with excitement. “Yes.”
“What about finding the masked magician?” Noahasks, his voice tight with suppressed rage. “We can’t let him get away with what he did to Hazel.”
I nod, a dark smile curving my lips. “Oh, we’ll find him. And when we do, we will kill him in front of Hazel so she knows that we will always protect her.”
