“She is with Trey in the forest,” I reply.
“Oh.” His face falls despondently. “I don’t think I can keep this up.”
“Well, I’m not going to,” Theo says, interrupting us. “I’m a fucking Vampire. We don’t breed. I don’t see whyIhave to be lumped in with you assholes on this ban. I can fuck her til I collapse, and she won’t get pregnant, so fuck you. See ya around.” He stalks off, his bad attitude stinking the air behind him as Rook and I gape at him.
“Uhm,” I mutter, actually speechless by his outburst.
“It’s true,” Rath’Na says, also appearing out of nowhere to join us. “He won’t conceive with her, but it’s only fair, right?”
“Right,” I grit out. “Why are you so concerned anyway?”
“I’m concerned with him going near Savannah in the state he is in right now. I suggest one of you stop him before I’m forced to step in.”
“What do you mean, ‘state’?”
“He hasn’t fed for several days. If he gets within sniffing distance of the woman he loves, well, I don’t need to tell you…”
I’m off like a shot before he can finish his sentence.
If that Vampire bites Savannah without her permission, I will stake him myself.
Chapter 22
Savannah
Iarch my back and pinch my nipples as I ride Trey. I clench around his cock one more time, which makes him come inside me, before we are interrupted by a swoosh of air and I’m dragged off Trey by my upper arms and come face to face with a very Vamped-out Theo.
Jerrick Puffs in next to him, with Rook close behind and then to my utter mortification, Rath’Na Astrals into the clearing as well.
“Christ!” I shriek. “What is going on?” I try to cover up my bits as Theo flashes his fangs at me and growls deep in this throat.
Before anyone else can react, Jerrick has his massive hand around Theo’s neck and squeezing brutally, he snarls, “Just try it, asshole.”
My eyes go wide as it finally sinks in what’s happening. Theo is starving and it has made him stark-raving mad, so he wants to biteme.
“Tut-tut,” Rath’Na says, shaking his head and grabbing Theo’s face to turn it to him so he can glareat him in the eye. “You said you spoke to her. I don’t like being lied to, especially by my friends, Vampire.”
“Spoken to me?” I choke out, grappling with my dress that Trey is trying to hand to me around all of these men. I hold it up in the end as a shield because Theo isn’t letting me go in spite of the two scary males that have ahold ofhim.
Rath’Na turns to me, keeping his grip on Theo, and says, “He is hungry and needs to feed. I cut off his previous source as I’m fairly confident you would have disapproved. I told him to discuss it with you.”
“Previous source?” I ask in dread. I swear if it turns out to be my mother, I will stake him with my fancy-ass new wand.
“Yes, a rather well-endowed fellow that prefers to walk around the forest in the nude,” he explains.
“What?” I spit out at Theo. “Who?”
“Elrich,” Jerrick growls out. “OrMidnightas you know him.” He gives me a grim look, knowing that I’m going to yell at him for knowing this and keeping it from me.
I blink at him and then shift my eyes back to Theo. “Is this true?”
“Yes,” he rasps.
“Let him go,” I order the two men. When they don’t, I yell, “Now!”
Jerrick and Rath’Na roughly release Theo, who then drops me to the ground, his eyes lowered. He sinks to his knees and says, “I’m sorry, Princess. I’m not strong enough to go without. He offered and I accepted with no other choices. You refuse me and it is killing me.”
He says the last part so softly, I barely hear him.
