He chuckles, and it seems to lighten his burden. “I happen to think that it was amazing the first time too. A revelation.”
I hide my smile in his chest as we settle in each other’s arms.
Sighing happily, I settle, but then the cloud of the secrets I’m holding onto starts to hover over my head. I need a distraction, so I run my hand down his chest, down his abs, until I reach his cock and slip my hand inside his pants.
“That didn’t last long,” he laughs.
“Can’t keep my hands off you,” I murmur.
“Same,” he says and turns us over, pressing me into the bed with his huge body.
“I love you, Savannah, Queen of the Dark Fae.”
I smile up at him and he kisses me.
Pushing my worries aside, including the one about Ambrosia, who had some nerve, coming ontomyland and killing my ravens. It was a big mistake. She will pay, and I will enjoy every second of my wrath.
Chapter 4
Trey
“You have got some fucking nerve,” I spit out at Rath’Na, letting him go and stepping back. I’ve brought him to Jerrick’s room for this conversation. “Dragon god! I mean… what the fuck?”
“Just as it states. God of the Dragons.”
Letting out a growl, I give him a scathing glare. “Did Savannah know about this before you fucked her?”
“She did. She knows everything about me,” he says with a wicked smile.
“You’re a fucking asshole, you know that.”
“I won’t deny that I can be a bit of an asshole, but then so can you. I think that’s something that Savannah enjoys.”
“You would,” I mutter, but he’s not all wrong. I was a dick to her at the beginning, and yet here we are. “Just so we are clear, youwerethere when I asked her to marry me, and she said yes. You are aware that I’m her destined Fae mate, the one that shehasto be with.”
“I’m aware of the divide. Although, if I were you, I wouldn’t go around saying that shehasto be with you, when she has all of these other men that shewants. Makes it sound like a chore.”
I grit my teeth as he tries to hold in his laugh. “Being with me probablyisa chore,” I point out. “I know that I’m not the easiest man. But I love her. Can you say the same?”
“I can. She is my destiny,” he says without any hesitation.
“Meaning?” I ask with narrowed eyes.
He sighs. “Well, you will have to ask her that. Suffice it to say, I have waited an exceptionally long time for her. I loved her before I even knew her.”
“Ugh,” I mutter.
He chuckles. “Yes, I’m aware of how gushy that sounds, but it’s the truth.” He goes serious and regards me carefully. “I’m not out to hurt her or any of you.”
“I know that,” I sigh. “But a heads up to the only other Dragon in this place would’ve been nice, you know. Solidarity and all that.”
“Yes, not-grandson. I get that. I feel that I can trust you, and I should have told you who I really was. Forgiven?”
I glare at him. He is mocking me.
Actually, now that I’m giving him the evil eye, I don’t think he is. He seems to be quite genuine. He is, in a word, odd.
“Sure,” I sigh. “We all need to be on the same page here. You may have gotten Savvie on your own tonight, but be very aware that it is a rarity.”
