Danielle found out that they were friends who frequented the parties the host threw, and getting an invitation to one of these was exclusive. No one could just waltz right in, and the invitations weren’t sent out at random, which gave Danielle pause. She never signed up for anything, and if it was something pertaining to Lush, Raven’s name and the club address were always on whatever she signed. Danielle didn’t swing either; outside of a few college experiences and what went down with Raven, she was basically a prude.

So, why did you come here?

The thought sneaked into her mind as her new acquaintances talked about what they hoped to find tonight. Danielle tuned them out and ignored the question she asked herself almost every day since she got the invitation. There was no reason for her to be here—she wasn’t sure she’d be able to partake in what would happen in these rooms or even be able to watch. Still, she stayed glued to her seat, unable to do anything else but take in her surroundings.

The last of the guests had come in, and Danielle sucked in a sharp breath as she recognized the woman in the black dress and black mask. Her golden hair was a dead giveaway, and Danielle’s pulse was like a thunderstorm in her body she was afraid everyone could hear.

Danielle remembered Raven’s touch in the office of Lush—could feel Raven’s fingers inside of her—and Danielle clutched her legs together to stop the ache she felt from growing.

Danielle licked her lips as she gripped the arms of the chair. Everything became clear as she watched Raven glide in on the arm of who she assumed was Jax. There was a flush that coated Raven’s skin like she’d been thoroughly fucked before she got here, and for a moment, Danielle let herself believe that she’d been the one to bring Raven pleasure.

Why did you come here?

That question popped into her head again, and though she’d never admit to it, her reason had just become crystal clear:

Raven Wright.

Jax felt like a kid in a candy store as he escorted Raven to the table. The table wasn’t completely filled, but he had to take the seat at the end of the table. He was directly in front of a very naked woman whose legs were open, giving Jax a clear view of a succulent cunt that made him ache to taste. Raven sat to his left, and there were a few more empty seats around the table that were filling up quickly. He had no idea what to expect, but the energy coursing through his body made him vibrate. It was a mixture of need and nerves.

Raven checking in with him before they marched into this room had warmed him. She knew this was a whole new level of experience for him that somehow felt different than what they did at Lush. Maybe it was about him trying to prove a point to her and himself; tonight was about both their enjoyment in a setting that seemed more intimate and personal than Lush.

Jax knew why Raven was worried, and it had crossed his mind a few times when he thought about what could happen tonight. The old thoughts and beliefs had whispered their doubts, but their voice hadn’t been as loud as it once was. It had been easier to ignore with Raven’s hands on him, remembering the way her golden eyes sparked with fire when she was turned on and the way she burned him to ash when she climaxed.

He enjoyed giving her those moments, embracing that side of her he once tried to shun. He didn’t understand before, but he had a better handle on it now. How had he ever thought to love her when he was trying to change her and not accept all parts of her?

Raven’s hand gripped his thigh, pulling his attention toward her. Jax leaned in, noticing a ghost of a smile on her face. “I can’t see from this angle, but how delicious does she look?” Raven’s hand inched up his thigh, cupping his cock through his pants. He let out a grunt as one of his hands gripped the armrest.

She stroked him through his pants. “Considering how hard you are, I’d say she looks good enough to eat.” Raven’s voice was barely above a whisper, but combined with the wicked torment of her hands, he was liable to do something he hadn’t done since he was a teenager.

He wrapped his hand around her wrist, stopping her tortuous strokes. “I need to last for however long this night goes on for. Keep this up, and I might have to make you lick the cum off of my dick and the inside of my pants, Ms. Wright.” He leaned in further, loving the way her breath hitched. “And, yes, she does look good enough to eat. Maybe we will both find out later just how good.”

“Only if you play your cards right, Pierce,” she tapped him on the nose before pulling back, and Jax let her go.

His gaze scanned the guests again, noticing there seemed to be an even amount of men and women here, not including the host, the people on the actual table, and the men he saw standing in suits with white masks on.

Raven explained that they were there to help keep the peace should something happen, which it rarely ever did, and to keep wandering bodies outside of places they weren’t allowed to go. As far as set ups went, this reminded him a lot of Lush, and that calmed him.

The seat next to Raven had been abandoned. The woman who sat next to her moved to a different seat, leaving that one open. Jax went to switch seats when a man in a golden mask quickly occupied the seat next to her. Jax felt the instant hit of familiarity from the newcomer, and it took him a second to figure out where and why he knew him.

Before Jax could say anything, the host called the attention of everyone in attendance. She went over the rules and the areas that were off limits. It was the same spiel he’d gotten from the woman who asked him about his darkest secret. Jax scanned the crowd again, noticing that everyone was in either an all-black mask or a red one. He, Raven, and the familiar stranger that sat next to her all had either golden hues sprinkled into their masks or an all-gold mask. There was another female who sat close to the host who had a gold in her mask as well, and Jax wondered if that would play a role in tonight’s themes.

“Interesting choices on the masks tonight.” The host echoed Jax’s thoughts as she spoke. “You will each get a card.” She waved at one of the men in the mask who started handing out small envelopes. “If you’re a couple, only one card per couple so you both don’t need to grab one.” The man had walked between Jax and Raven, Raven took the card and placed it in her lap, and Jax had to fight the urge to snatch it from her and read the contents.

“You’ll be able to open up the cards momentarily. First, I want to thank you for coming, and I do hope those secrets you all whispered to my assistant happen to come true tonight. For now, please feel free to mingle amongst yourself and enjoy the appetizers in front of you. They have given their consent to be sampled, but once they’re done, they are done. If you have any issues, please find me or one of the men in the white masks, and they will be able to assist you with whatever you need.” The host took time to look at each of the guests, like she was taking inventory.

When the masked man who’d been handing out cards went back to his post, the host spoke again. “Everyone open your cards. You’ll notice a number written on them. That will be your room for tonight. Each room is set up differently, and, yes, you’re allowed to change for whatever reason, but I ask that you stay in the room you’ve been assigned to at least to find out if your secret desires can come true.” The host glanced in Jax’s direction, and his heart slammed into his chest.

It made sense that she would know what he whispered to the woman in the front, but he wasn’t sure how he felt with the host singling him out. He felt like a spotlight had been flashed on him, and for a moment, he felt his body getting ready to lock up on him—could hear the whispers of his old beliefs pick up steam, and he closed his eyes in hopes that his body would relax and his anxiety disappear.

Raven’s feathered touch gripped his hand, and his gaze shot to hers. He saw the question in her eyes as the host continued her spiel. “Red?” she whispered the question.

Jax knew if he spoke the word, they would get up and leave and never look back. They would spend the evening at home getting lost in each other, and he probably wouldn’t think twice about having walked out of here, until the sun came up. He didn’t want tonight to be a ‘what if’ night. He wanted to see Raven come apart with the pleasure she was experiencing because at his core it turned him on and he enjoyed seeing Raven experience pleasure—it was probably why the sex between them had always been combustible.

The host sat down at the head of the table just as conversations picked up again. Jax smiled as he leaned into Raven, placing a quick kiss on her lips. “I did say I wanted to see you cum about ten times, right? I think we have a better chance of reaching that number if we stay.”

Raven’s light laughter warmed him as she squeezed his hand before she leaned back in her seat. Jax sat back in his seat, seeing that the host had dipped her head in between the woman’s legs that were open at the end of the table. He also saw a few empty seats at the table as more guests had stood up and left the main room.

Jax turned back to Raven, and she was already leaning over, her voice hitting his ears over the throaty moans in the main room. “They’re heading to the rooms they’ve been assigned too. We can go or stay here for a little bit.”
