Jax’s gaze turned to the woman in front of him. There was already a finger inside of her while another person tweaked her nipple. The scent of sex filled the air, teasing Jax’s skin. He’d been torn between exploring and watching the person sitting to his right work the woman in front of him to cum.

“Raven,” his voice was thick with lust, unsure of what he wanted more. He was overwhelmed by it all, feeling like a starving man in front of his first feast in years. He glanced back at Raven, whatever words he wanted to speak had died on his tongue when he noticed the rigid posture of the person sitting next to her.

Jax’s eyes narrowed as he took in the guy’s build and the suit he wore. The way the lights had been dimmed in the room made it hard for Jax to believe who he was looking at, but the faint bruising on his face had been a dead giveaway.

A humorless chuckle slipped from Jax’s lips as he reached for Raven. He couldn’t believe it. After all the shit Cruz gave him about Raven, the dickhead found his way to a sex party and was sitting next to them. What were the odds that he was here, especially after Jax’s mind gave birth to the idea of sharing Raven with him.

Raven leaned in. “Are you okay?” she whispered at him.

Jax nodded. Images of the three of them slammed into his mind. He remembered the secret he whispered to the woman before coming into this room. He remembered how thick and potent the air had been between the three of them on the side of Miller Way Road when their emotions had been heightened, and it had nothing to do with the brakes of his Mustang. Jax remembered how turned on he’d been at the idea of sharing Raven with Cruz if he had been more open.

Jax looked at Raven before glancing back at Cruz who seemed to be focused intently on the guests taking their turns sampling the bodies on the table. Jax wondered what was going on in his mind, and why he was actually here in the first place, but when he looked back at Raven, he debated for a moment what it would mean to tell her that Cruz was here.

If Jax told her who was sitting next to her, was he opening the doorway for something to happen if the opportunity presented itself?

“Hey, is this too much for you?” Raven’s hand came up to cup his face, and he turned, pressing his lips to her palm.

He grabbed her hand and let out a long breath, feeling deep in his bones he already knew how this night was going to end, and it was going to change everything, but that didn’t give him pause. If anything, it enticed him.

“Cruz is here.” Her eyes widened, just as her breath hitched and her face flushed. Jax knew right then and there they were on the same page. He felt it on Miller Way Road, and he felt it again now. “He’s sitting right next to you, Rave.”

He watched as she glanced beside her, her pulse had quickened as did the rise and fall of her chest. She looked back at him, need bleeding from her eyes, and Jax didn’t hesitate, “I think maybe we should see if he wants to fly with us.”

Cruz didn’t know what he was expecting. He’d watched porn like any male he knew. He’d seen the orgy setups and the foursomes and even the fake amateur ones that started off at a party like this one, but still it hadn’t really prepared him for what was happening in front of him. He felt like a fish out of water, and the worst part was that he felt like everyone else knew he didn’t belong. He felt all the creepier being the only man in here not in a white mask who wasn’t mingling or taking what was offered. He looked like a sleaze ball just watching men and women touch one another because he had nowhere else to look.

He adjusted himself in the seat, his cock making his slacks feel tight. He was trying to figure out why he thought it made sense to come here.

What had he been hoping to find again?

A clue into who had killed Bastillo?

Why would he find it here?

He’d been hoping Raven was guilty of some sin, and a few taunts on an invitation, one which he had no clue how he got to being with, made him think this was the place he was going to get answers. All he was going to get was a case of the blue balls and be no closer to solving the case.

Cruz let out a breath, already making up his mind. The woman in front told him he could leave at any time, and he figured now was as good a time as any, knowing that what was happening in front of him was just the appetizer to the main course.

He pushed off his seat only to be stopped by a delicate hand on his arm. He looked down into a pair of familiar golden eyes and lips he dreamed of having wrapped around his dick, and his entire world spun, knocking him back into his seat.

His gaze shifted to the man sitting beside her, and he cursed under his breath. The secret he told the woman in front came back to him with a vengeance. The sounds of needy moans filled his veins like heroin to an addict, and he felt he was on the best high of his life.

“Leaving so soon, Detective Cruz?” Her voice was silky smooth—a temptation in itself. “I think you should stay awhile and let me give you a proper introduction into my world.”

Raven held her breath, waiting to see if Cruz would tuck tail and walk out of here. It was a shock to her system to see him in this setting, especially after all the shit he had given her about the way she lived her life. Now here he was, front and center. She didn’t understand how he had gotten the invite in the first place, unless he was here as a means to keep an eye on her, and if that was the case, she wanted to make sure he had a good show.

Cruz sat frozen in his chair. His gaze bounced between her and Jax, and she could see the rapid rise and fall of his chest—the war raging behind his eyes. He looked like he’d been caught with his hand in the cookie jar and was contemplating apologizing or grabbing as many cookies as he could. Raven hoped for the latter.

She couldn’t explain the attraction she felt to him—she never could. It was always there, but he did a good job of ruining any fantasy she might have entertained by opening his mouth and being an all-around dick. It was too bad her body didn’t care about who she disliked. It was all about pleasure, and she was greedy with hers. She loved Jax with every fiber of her being, but the idea of Jax and Cruz giving her pleasure and taking her to new heights was a heady sensation that made her core ache to be filled with both of them.

“I shouldn’t stay.” Cruz looked at Jax, and she wondered for a moment if he was hoping Jax would tell him to leave, hoping that his best friend would get possessive and decide not to share.

A smirk teased her lips. Jax had given her the green light to engage in the opportunity that presented itself. It made her wonder if he had heard what she whispered to the lady in the front and he wanted to grant her what she desired. It was such a contrast to who he’d been with her in the beginning of their relationship. He was never possessive in that manner, and she knew he had gotten off on the way other people wanted her, but that was as far as it went before he lashed out at her for the sexual desires she had.

Now here he was at her side, his fingers stroking a fire against her skin as he silently encouraged her to corrupt his friend.

“I should go,” Cruz repeated but made no move to get up. “There’s nothing here for me.”

“Isn’t there?” Raven waved a hand in front of them. A woman was bringing another woman to climax while her partner kissed a stranger next to him. “You’re here for a reason, Cruz, and this table is yours just as much as it is mine.”
