Colton moved closer to where Syra, Marco, and Asli were. He thought he’d have a harder time blending into the shadows, but the three of them had been so far gone in their activities, none of them realized how close he’d gotten to them. They had put on a performance that left most of the room enthralled, Colton included. He knew from Joel how good of a fuck Syra was—the man liked to brag—but nothing could have prepared him for seeing her like this, so open and willing to let both those men do what they wanted to her.

He wondered if Joel knew how much she enjoyed being passed back and forth amongst friends. Did he know what a prize he had in Syra? He could understand Joel’s eagerness to get her back and under his thumb. But seeing the performance she just put on—watching the way she fucked with wild abandonment and whored herself out for everyone to see—made him wonder if Joel even knew how to touch her right.

She’d break under my touch.

Colton had to keep his knee-jerk reaction to reach out and grab her, knowing Marco would try and make a scene. But he wanted her, his little cat from earlier quickly forgotten when the bigger prize was right in front of him, looking thoroughly fucked. It made him want to amend parts of his agreement with Joel. What fun would it be to take down Marco if he couldn’t fuck the woman who got under his skin?

He shook his head, forcing himself to pull away from them before the lights in the room fully turned on and there’d be no way for him to keep hidden. He knew Joel wouldn’t share her, not like she’d just been shared. He wouldn’t let Colton have his fun like he’d been doing with the other women.

But I could take her anyway. Joel would never know.

He smiled as he crept back toward the door. He enjoyed playing with the Syra look-a-likes. but he knew the real thing would be ten times better.

I’ll be seeing you soon, sweet Syra.

All the ways we’ll get to play.

Firefighters are still battling a three-alarm fire in Industrial City. So far there has been no mention of what could have caused this blaze, but two firefighters were injured as they tried to keep the fire from spreading onto more buildings. The only good news right now is that these buildings were completely empty. They are owned through Garrison Inc who brought them a couple of years ago as a part of the revitalization project to bring businesses back into Industrial City. This is also the second reported fire on an empty building today owned by Garrison Inc. We reached out for a comment but haven’t heard anything yet. We’ll continue to update as more news comes in.

Marco turned the car radio off soon as the broadcast stopped focusing on the fire. The car ride remained quiet, giving Syra entirely too much time to think and be in her head. The excitement and satisfaction that pumped her blood only moments ago no longer existed. The air she breathed was heavy—almost oppressive—making it difficult to keep her heart steady. She hated the shift in mood between them. Hated how quiet they both were as soon as the real world reminded them they couldn’t exist in the bubble they created at Orchard Tree.

Syra burrowed further into Marco’s suit jacket, which he had given her since she left her duffle bag with her change of clothes in Asli’s car, and pulled it tighter around her shoulders. She inhaled his sandalwood smell, using his scent to ease the gnawing worry in the pit of her stomach that they were driving closer to their mutual destruction. The white flag they both had thrown down only moments ago seemed preemptive. They couldn’t solve all their problems with great sex, and the real world was going to be quick to remind them just how shaky the ground they were standing on was.

She peeked over at him. His hands were tight around the steering wheel, and tension made his body rigid as they drove in silence back to Lockwood. They had left Orchard Tree as soon as Marco and Asli helped clean her up and put her dress back on. There was a sense of urgency as they made their way through the maze that was Orchard Tree as soon as she agreed to come home with him. She still couldn’t believe he asked her, but there had been something in the air swirling between them, pushing them closer. Something that made it hard for her to deny him—deny herself what she wanted with both men. She’d been eager and excited—a wide smile on her face that hadn’t dimmed until they retrieved their belongings and his phone started ringing nonstop.

The news of the fire in Industrial City was a cold shower, a harsh slap back to reality. She watched as the secret smile he kept for her slipped off his face and those green eyes of his darkened into a storm cloud that made her shiver. She found herself wanting to help him, to find a way to ease the tension that slipped into his body, but all she could do was reach for his hand, and she hadn’t dropped her hold on him until they were in the car. But she wanted to do more, to offer up a distraction so maybe they could hold on to more of the stolen moments they created in Orchard Tree.

“How come Asli had to stay back?” She had asked the question when they first left. She hadn’t outright thought they were going back to Marco’s to have sex, but she wondered if the invitation extended to Asli as well. Plus she knew talking about Asli—what they all just shared—would be a welcome distraction.

Marco’s gaze shifted to hers quickly before they were back on the road. She found a smile on his face before he outright chuckled, and she felt herself sit up a little straighter, happy to hear his joy.

“You asked me that already, but I will gladly tell you again. Since he was part of the performers tonight, he has to stay back until the party is officially over. The owners like to talk to the workers, check in on their headspace. They have a ritual of sorts that’s part of the performers coming down from all the excitement tonight.” He relaxed his hold on the steering wheel, and she could see his body start to relax too.

“¿Ya lo extrañas, estrellita?”Marco teased, and Syra smiled despite the tightness in her stomach.

She shifted in her seat and heat filled her body as she remembered the way Asli touched her. She could still feel his tongue tasting her, his fingers inside of her, playing her body with such expertise that she had to wonder if that knowledge had come from his closeness to Marco. She had no need to guide him, whether his tongue, fingers, or cock were inside of her. He knew how to shift himself to get deeper—to hit parts of her only Marco had ever been able to reach.

It made her shudder in her seat. The feeling of ownership, of worship she felt at the touch of both of them unnerved her. They had worked in this seamless unison that would have made her sit back and marvel at if she hadn’t been brought to the brink and back over and over again.

She hadn’t been prepared for the twinning tornadoes that they were. She knew about their power dynamic—had seen it first hand when they were at Sirens and at Garrison Inc’s headquarters; one inhaled and the other exhaled. But being the sole focus of them, being the very thing they set their sights on, had made her fold with a quickness she should have been embarrassed by if it wasn’t for the pleasure she received at their touch. It made her ache—almost starved—for a repeat. Her dirty fantasies about both of them hadn’t even come close to the real thing.

The way they played off each other, especially that last time had made her melt. Marco’s harsh praise was balanced out by Asli’s sweet whispers, which brought her to her knees, and she almost begged for them to do it again right then and there. They broke her apart individually and put her pieces back together only to collectively break her again.

“I don’t miss him,” she mumbled. The words tasted weird on her lips. “I was just curious is all.” Though her curiosity was wrapped around her wanting Asli near her and with them in the car ride back to Lockwood.

She had a lot of feelings flowing through her in regards to what happened and how she felt about them both. She was trying to give herself the space and grace to feel them and not completely shut them down or second-guess them. She was attracted to Asli and wanted him physically as much as she wanted Marco; that had happened almost instantly six months ago. The few times they talked she enjoyed his company too. She didn’t want to allow herself to feel guilty for wanting them both and knew right now she had the space to enjoy what happened tonight and her feelings toward it.

Marco’s deep chuckle brought her gaze back toward him. He seemed to relax even more, shifting in his seat so his left hand remained on the steering wheel while his right reached across the center console to grip her thigh. “You’re being a horrible liar, estrellita. You already miss him and that’s okay.” She flushed under his words and the feel of his hand on her body.

“He misses you too. In fact, I’m about ninety-nine percent sure he’s back at Orchard Tree standing somewhere making a face because he couldn’t leave with us.” Marco laughed, shaking his head. “He would have had you wrapped up in his arms in the back seat if he left with us.”

She scoffed, even though she felt the heat in her cheeks at the image he painted. How comforting it would have been to have both of them close to her.

“That doesn’t bother you.” She meant to voice it as a question, but it came out more like a statement. If she hadn’t known Marco as well as she did, or seen the way he and Asli moved, she wouldn’t have believed it to be true. “I mean, this isn’t weird for you?”

She waved a hand in front of her face, needing a moment to gather her thoughts. They were a runaway train. Her earlier conversation with Asli about how they worked in relationships and sharing women had her mouth moving faster than her brain could keep up. They had a long drive, but the closer she felt like she was getting to Lockwood, the louder her intrusive thoughts had become. She wanted to know what happened when the sun was actually up and they went back to their respective corners.

“I mean, I know you’ve shared women in the past, and at the risk of sounding too self-important, they weren’t me.” She hesitated. She needed to tread carefully, knowing she could be opening up the wounds of their past. It would invite ghosts and harsh truths that would make the ride back to Lockwood an uncomfortable one. “We did mean something to each other, I just figured because of that it might be different.”
