His lips capture hers, and he all but tackles her on the bed. Moving from her mouth, he kisses every inch of skin he can. She needs to feel as cared for as he feels right now.
“I love you so fucking much.”
Marnie gasps when he claims her clit, and her fingers massage his scalp. Venom isn’t great with words, but he hopes she understands how much she means to him as he makes love to her. Their bodies sharing the sentiments he can’t vocalize with enough passion.
“Fuck,” he mutters after she comes.
“What?”
Climbing up her body, Venom eases into her wet opening and makes her smile. “I bought you roses. Forgot them on the bike.”
“You bought me flowers?”
“I should’ve bought you the whole damn store,” he growls, thrusting deep.
Her giggle turns into a moan, and he mentally makes a note to pick up flowers every time he returns from a run. And actually bring them inside despite whatever distractions may happen. Marnie deserves it and so much more.
Chapter Twelve
Griffin’s Beach
Rocco
Walking into the clubhouse, Rocco spots Colt talking with Ky and Venom. He makes a beeline for the man he’s not entirely certain is still his friend.
“We need to talk.”
“Kind of in the middle of something,” Colt says and points to the two others.
“It’s cool. I gotta meet Marnie, anyway,” Venom says.
Rocco hasn’t fully made up his mind about Venom yet, but he knows he’s handy to have in a fight. Just like Psycho. But he’s one of the guys who stand in line to bend over and kiss Lex’s ass, so he doesn’t trust him completely.
Lex and Rocco used to get along great. They were friends, even, but he blames her for Autumn leaving him. Not only did she set the stage to show Autumn it was possible, she pushed his girl to leave him. Told her that he’d never be the type to get married when that’s all Autumn wanted.
He lost his girl, and while she was gone, she gained a stalker who almost killed someone he once considered to be his best friend. And he doesn’t know that he’ll ever truly forgive Lex for Colt almost dying while she feels the same about Rocco.
On top of that, she allowed Melanie and Heidi to attack Autumn. Then she joined in with them. It all rubs him the wrong way. Yes, Autumn got the least amount of torture when she was kidnapped by the Slashers, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t a victim. They treat her as though she made everything up even though they were right there beside her.
“What’s up?” Colt asks with a sigh as Ky gives a look that screamsgood luckbefore he walks away.
Yeah? Fuck you, too, Ky.
“What the fuck’s going on?”
Shaking his head, Colt shrugs. “I’m gonna need more than that if you expect a real answer.”
“Look, I know there are threats from the cops, but there’s something you seem to be working on alone. I get it. When you’re ready, you’ll bring us all in.”
“Yeah, I really don’t know what kind of answer you’re looking for now.”
“What the fuck is Lex doing?”
He founds and looks across the room to find his wife talking with Felicity. “Uh, looks like she’s having a conversation with Ky’s wife. I’m not sure what they’re talking about, but I can ask if you really want to know.”
“No, not literally, asshole,” he says with fists clenched.
“What the fuck are you trying to ask me?” Colt snaps. “I can’t read your mind, and I’m not in the mood to play some playground guessing game with you. If you have a question, fucking ask it. If there’s not a point soon, I have better things to do.”
