Keera frowned.“What?Why?”

Zera looked at her and smiled.“Because Hever and Heraina freaked out all over me and passed their concerns to the team, and the oversight council is looking through the records regarding your history with your link to Worro confirmed. This shouldn’t have happened, and you did everything right. You applied for funding, for treatments, and for assistance.Hell, even counselling, and nothing was offered to you. That defies coincidence.”

Worro said, “Start with my sister, Vaika. She’s the most likely candidate.”

Zera nodded.“I will.I am hoping to have this off your mind by Hever’s wedding.I hear you are the maid of honour.”

Keera smiled.“Matron of honour by then.”

“Well, if you want a girl’s night, talk to Drin in textiles. The ladies can take overHelland have a lovely party.”

“My sisters will like it.Well, Cloud will enjoy watching the wild wave of minds from one of the upper levels, and Yahtana will just have fun dancing.”

“Wait.Yahtana is your sister?”

“Yeah.We share an activation.”

Zera groaned.“Right.You had applied for the BDC.”

“Yeah, I was rejected as too unstable.”

Zera frowned.“We have a lot of escorts who have been through situations, but we just get them therapy and see if they want to continue.I am going to look into your file.”

“Great. Why am I being given two weeks off?”

“Because you are getting married, and I am refusing to let your bureaucratic nightmare continue. So, since you have a dress on the back of the door, I will leave you be but give you a hug as soon as Worro sets you on your feet.”

He sighed and set her down.“She’s set up a no-kissing rule until tomorrow, and it is driving me nuts, so if she didn’t complain, I was going to hold her.”

Keera grinned and walked around the door to get the bag with the dress and shoes.“I am going to go to the restroom.I will be right back.”

Zera looked at him.“So, on a scale of one to ten, how furious are you?”

“Oh, a solid ten.I want to tear my sister apart and hide the pieces so that even I can’t find them, but that would delay time with Keera, and she needs me right now.I am going to make every moment about making her feel safe for the time that was taken from us.”

“So, your sister?”

“Considers Keera a gold-digger.From the moment she found out that Keera was adopted, she considered it beneath me to associate with her.I wanted the opposite.I had no idea that she was a stealthed omega, but part of me figured it out.”

“Wait. That means Yahtana is probably an omega.Shit! No wonder she won’t go with Hyreno or Sethir.Family issues.Well, at least Cloud brought her back in one piece.”She smiled.“I hear that you two are going to have your reception with Krix and Hever, at their insistence.”

Worro sighed.“Yes, he ran it past me today, and since they are both wearing dresses by my cousin, it will look fine.We also have all the same friends, so it will be a lovely party.”

“Hever’s family is going to throw one helluva bash. Now, do you know where I can get some Sethir dancers?”

“Ask Khasta. She photographs dancers frequently. They asked you?”

“They thought one of the escorts might be a dancer, but no such luck. Not for this kind of endurance trial.”

“Sethir dancers that willing to work weddings are few and far between.Usually armed. The wedding dances are for fertility, and so when the males get fixated, the dancers pull a knife. At that point, the more reasonable males step in before she does.Assaulting a dancer is bad luck.”

Zera paused.“Can you make the introduction to Khasta?”

“She has a lot of privacy settings.”Worro sent the message through with Zera’s call identification.

Zera blinked as she got an immediate response.“Okay.She knows three and is checking availability. She wants to know how formal they have to be?”
