She chuckled.“You sound very happy about that.”
“I am.Having you near me is completing my soul.”
She leaned against him and held his arm. They made their way around the city and to his home.
The car pulled up in his drive, and he got out, taking her with him and then lifting her again.
“My feet work.Even in these little princess shoes.”She kicked a foot out of the froth of the layers. The gold lace shoe peeped out.
“They are very cute little princess shoes.”He chuckled.“I think my parents will be all right.”
She nodded.“They seem sad but resigned, and they wanted to be in photos, so that is something as well.Your mom was even to my side, so removing me digitally would be difficult.”
He chuckled and walked up the steps of the huge farmhouse.
He opened the door, and she held her breath as he stepped over the threshold with her.She chuckled.“There.I am well and truly kidnapped.”
“Abducted for life.”
She sighed.“So, we can kiss now.”
He laughed.“Just a little bit further.”
He walked through the house and up the stairs. He carried her into his bedroom, and she inhaled softly.Pink roses and blue irises were on every surface.
She blinked rapidly.“That is a lot of pink.”
He laughed.“I wanted to make sure that you know this house and everything in it is yours now.”
She looked up at him and smiled.“I know. Now, it took an hour to get me into all of this. How long will it take you to get it off me?”
“Oh, dearest, I am going to take my time.”He smiled and knelt at her side, removing the princess shoes one at a time.
She smiled and stroked his hair with her adorned fingers.
He looked up at her, and his eyes gleamed wetly.“You are back.”
“I was never gone.I was just waiting.”She chuckled.“And not happy about it.”
She curled her toes on the smooth wood.
He smiled.“Khassi outdid herself. This gown will be the envy of Sethir brides everywhere. You wore it very well.”
She smiled.“I had to, Khassi was watching.”
He kissed each of her hands, and his fingers went to the jewelled belt. She felt the inner layer move against her skin.Worro carefully removed the heavy necklace and was finally able to start peeling her out of the heavily embossed robes.
She was down to the headpiece, the hand flowers, bracelets, and anklets. She ran her fingers over his hair before she loosened his tunic.“Trying to keep me weighed down?”
He smiled up at her, and she stroked his cheek, his jaw, and then she bent and kissed him.She whispered, “I am so glad you finally remembered me.”
He stood and lifted her, holding her against him.“I was missing my soul, and I had no clue.I was existing, and now I look forward to living.”
She smiled and said, “The pretty words can wait.I have missed you with far more than my soul.My heart wept, and my body ached.Husband, I order you to soothe me.”
His grin was like light streaming into the room.“Yes, wife.I have neglected you far too long.”
He settled her against the bedding, and his clothing disappeared in a flurry of motion. She sat up and held her hands out.He knelt between her thighs and leaned over to kiss her.Keera felt the heat coming off him and ran her hands over his shoulders and down his chest to his ridged belly. She wrapped one hand around his erection with the thick ridge of his knot.“It’s been a while since I had a knot.”
