Careful, Baby, before I decide not to be such a gentlemen in front of company and take you into the bedroom.

Our fun is broken up by the pilot overhead. “Chase, we’ve been asked to delay landing and circle out to the private air field,” the pilot announces.

“I’ll be back shortly,” Chase says, getting out of his seat to go and speak with the captain.

“What do you think is wrong?” Jenny asks.

“I’m not sure. I know security was increased, but we haven’t had a chance to talk about it. All I know is what Sheldon told us yesterday about the possibility of Alfreita’s men being in New York,” I say as Chase returns to his seat.

“Ladies, it’s nothing to worry about. Our intelligence team picked up a group of Alfreita’s men in New York City, which is why we put everyone on high alert. Unfortunately, a few of that team is staked out at O’Hare. We seldom use our private landing runway, but Jay wants us to land there today. He’ll have the pilot call in a last minute flight change to throw them off and have a team meet us at the air strip and escort us home,” he says.

It is another long forty minutes before we land. Chase is on the radio with Jay almost constantly during this time. “Jay, I trust you implicitly, set it down,” he instructs, before disconnecting. “Buckle up ladies,” he says.

“Holy shit,” Jenny says.
