“Chase,” I moan, rising up to meet him, stroke for stroke, over and over, until we are finally trembling in each others arms and our labored breathing begins to shallow.
“Are you going to tell me what sort of delicious punishment you have in store for Friday?” I ask, circling the light patch of hair on his chest.
“And ruin the surprise? I think not, Katarina,” he says, smiling mischieviously at me.
“You don’t play fair,” I say, pretending to pout.
“On the contrary, I think your punishments are well thought out and always quite appropriate, especially when I know your disobedience is so well planned,” he says, smirking.
It is impossible not to delight in our game and I push out my lips to pout at him again. He runs a forefinger over my bottom lip. “You should be careful Katarina, I think now we’re going to have to put those pouty little lips of yours to good use,” he says.
CHAPTER EIGHT
I wake on Friday morningto an empty bed and groan at the temperature displayed on my phone. Negative five degrees. I slowly come alive, pulling on yoga pants, a sports bra, socks and shoes in anticipation of a good workout on the treadmill before I look for Chase. I make my way to the gym room overlooking the lapping shores of Lake Michigan, turn on the machine, put in my earbuds and slowly acclimate my breathing to the sultry wails of the steamy sound track.
A few messages come through on my phone, but I disregard them as I continue to work out, pushing myself until sweat drips from my body. My cooldown song comes on and I slow to a walk, patting down with a towel before pulling on a hoodie at the end of my run and checking messages. I read the one from Jenny.
Message:I’ll meet you tonight. I need to go on a few tours with prospective tenants.
Reply:Sounds good. Will text when we land.
Message:Perfect! Tell Chase thanks for the dress!
Reply:I will thank him multiple times, multiple ways for us!
Message:You seem to have gotten over your shyness about the money! ?
Reply:I have. He knows I don’t give a shit about it!
I go in search of Chase and find him in the kitchen reading the newspaper. “I woke up and you were already gone,” I say, pouring myself a tall glass of water.
“You looked so peaceful I didn’t want to wake you,” he says, glancing up from his computer.
“I missed the way you usually wake me up,” I say.
“The lady wanted to play?” he says with a smirk.
“I thought you knew that was a given. In fact, I do believe someone owes me a punishment night,” I say, kissing him lightly on the lips.
“Patience and anticipation, Katarina. It will give me great pleasure to watch your body this evening,” he says, caressing my already erect nipples.
“You didn’t wake me up on purpose and you’re not going to tell me what you’re planning,” I say, pretending to pout.
“Delayed gratification, Baby.”
“Hmm… you know I hate that.”
“Exactly the point of punishment. Now go and get ready, we have a plane to catch,” he says, swatting my behind playfully.
“It shouldn’t take me long to shower and I can get ready for tonight on the plane. How long of a flight is it?” I say.
“About four hours in the air. I’ll have the items that arrived for tonight taken to the jet,” he says as I head to the shower.

The helicopter is waiting and Jay and Sheldon walk with us to the bright blue rig awaiting us on the helipad. “I have to admit this is so much more luxurious than the other helicopter you had,” I say, getting into the private compartment that was custom designed with soundproofing, the best in digital music and communication technologies. I take my seat on the soft leather sofa and Chase sits next to me while Jay and the crew open the doorway into the security cabin and close the door behind them, allowing us privacy on the short ride to O’Hare. The flight is uneventful and we are soon boarding the Gulfstream that awaits us on the tarmac. We are no sooner seated than the captain announces an imminent take off and we begin moving slowly towards the runway.
“Jenny just texted me. She’s already in L.A. and was able to meet with a few of Torzial’s other clients from the West Coast earlier today.”
