“It was amazing, so hot. I was so turned on and I didn’t even mind waiting for the climax,” I say, kissing his lip lightly.

“Baby, now tell me something I don’t already know. I was the one watching your breathing, seeing your body glisten with desire and feeling you quiver around me. I want to know how what we did made you feel or is going to make you feel tomorrow. Emotionally, how are you processing it?”

I look away and he places his finger under my chin, forcing me to look into his eyes. “Tell me, Katarina,” he says.

“I loved what you did to me and it’s hard to explain what’s changed for me. Things I used to think were important like what people view as normal and what I should feel about certain acts, I just don’t care anymore. It’s simply no longer important and I don’t understand why it really ever was,” I say.

“Baby, you’ve given me your unbridled trust and you couldn’t have made me happier,” he says, kissing my lips passionately.

“One thing,” I say, coming up for air, repositioning myself so I can look into his eyes.

“Anything Baby,” Chase says, looking at me with an odd intensity.

“Next time, please don’t renegotiate my punishment.”

I hear him audibly gasp. “Katarina, fifteen strikes would have been too much, way too soon. I needed to make sure you liked it and were ready emotionally,” he says.

“Oh, I liked it,” I say, as his lips overtake mine and he makes love to me, gently this time, kissing and suckling my entire body, taking extra care to lick and caress the area he has just paddled before we are both fully sated and spend the next half an hour curled into each others arms.

I am the first to move, stretching my legs and arms above my head. Muscles I didn’t even know I had are sore. “Who needs yoga,” I say, grinning up at him.

“Anytime I can be of service, Mrs. Prestian,” he says, bemused.

“I should give Jenny a call and get some work done on the Vegas project. I need to get the improvements to the standard Prestian Corp design detailed out before the group finalizes the plans,” I say.

“I saw your suggestions and they look great. I’ll be working in the study today if you’d like to join me, otherwise, I’ll meet you downstairs for dinner,” he says, brushing my lips with a kiss before getting out of bed. I watch his body as he walks nude toward the bathroom and until he is out of sight before I select Jenny’s phone number.

I am almost convinced the call will go to voicemail when she answers the line. “Hi,” she says, with none of the exuberance I have come to know.

“I’ve been trying to get ahold of you. I was so worried,” I say.

“I know, I’m sorry Kate. I don’t know how to explain it right now,” she says.

“Jenny, you don’t owe me anything. I’m just thankful that we found you before Alfreita’s men did.”

“I don’t know too much about what happened except that we need to stay here until Chase and your father figure out a plan for him.”

“Yeah, we were going to have you flown here where we could take care of you, but his men were swarming the airport and everyone thought it best to have you go to Brian’s since it was secure and close by.”

“That’s what Brian said,” she says.

“Jenny, I don’t want to push, but you mean the world to me and I’m worried about you. Should we contact your counselor? I’m happy to give her a call and arrange a visit. We’ll just have to figure out how to do it safely,” I say.

“Umm, actually, Brian arranged for her to come to his condo this afternoon,” she says.

“Really, that was incredibly nice of him,” I say, trying not to appear nosy, but dying to know what’s going on between the two of them.

“It was. Now I just need to figure out what to say. I just don’t know what to tell her, how to explain,” she says so low that I have to strain to make out her words.

“Jenny, that’s her job. She will help you through that part of it, but it’s important that you’re honest with her and keep seeing her. Would you like me to be with you?” I ask, knowing Chase will hit the roof if I ask to fly into the city right now, but…

“No, I think it’s something I need to work through with her on my own, but I appreciate the offer,” she says.

“Okay then I’ll call you a little later this evening and maybe by then we’ll know more about how long we’ll need to stay on lockdown,” I say before disconnecting and firing up my mac.

I pull up the blueprints for the Las Vegas Prestian Corp facility. The outside will be an exact replica of the Chicago and New York sky-rises, but in the new facility we have the opportunity to create better adjacencies for departments, allowing workers to collaborate easier and more effectively. I am still reviewing the opportunity list identified by the survey provided to the current occupants of the Prestian Corp facilities when the swooshing sound from my phone alerts me to an incoming message.

Message:Where are you? You’ve been working all day.
