"Hi. I got our lunch," she holds up a white paper bag. "Burgers and fries okay?"

"Yeah, Firefly. Burgers sound good." I grab her hand. "Come on." I lead Sofia to the end of the dock to eat. It's her favorite spot out here. We enjoy our lunch in comfortable silence for a few minutes while staring out at the water before she speaks up. "What's on your mind, Sam?" she asks popping a fry into her mouth. I watch completely hypnotized by her pouty lips as she chews her food. Leaning in, I use the pad of my thumb to swipe the bit of ketchup from the corner of her mouth. She watches me as I bring the same thumb to my mouth, licking the ketchup from it. Her eyes go from my mouth to my heated stare. Knocking herself from her stupor, she clears her throat. "Are you going to answer my question?"

Balling up my trash, I shove it into the bag. "My dad is giving me shit."

"What do you mean?"

"He wants me to come home." My heart aches with the devastated look that crosses my Firefly's face when I mention leaving.

"Are you? Are you going back home?" she stammers while looking down at her lap.

Placing my finger under her chin, I bring Sofia's gorgeous eyes to mine. "I am home. Nothing in this world could ever make me leave Polson or you, Firefly. Never." Sofia visibly relaxes at my declaration. Not wanting the subject of my father ruining our time together, I change the subject. "The guys said they were taking their old ladies to the festival this evening."

"Yeah, I heard that too. I was thinking about going."

"Good. That means you'll be on the back of my bike then." Standing, I hold out my hand. Without hesitation Sofia takes it, and I help her stand. "I'll pick you up at 4:00."

After work, I stop by Kings Construction to turn in an order form for next week's materials for New Hope House. I knock on Reid's office door. "Hey, you got a minute?"

"Yeah. Come on in," Reid nods toward the chair in front of his desk.

"I wanted to drop off my order for next week."

"No problem," he takes the form from my hand. "I heard what happened with Dylan."

"Yeah?"

Reid nods. "His pansy ass came in here whinin' after you sent him on his way. I told him what's done is done. You gave the fucker too many chances. More than most people would. Did you really make him pick up his cigarette butts?" he chuckles.

"Hell yeah," I laugh and stand as Reid does the same.

"Let's get the hell out of here. Mila will have my ass if I'm late. You coming out to the festival tonight?"

"Yeah. I'm going to head to the clubhouse now and change before I go pick up my girl." Reid raises a brow at the mention of me referring to Sofia as my girl but says nothing. At this point, they all know. Things aren't official yet. But they will be.

Making our way out to our bikes, I climb on mine the same time Reid straddles his. With a nod, he takes off in the opposite direction toward his and Mila's place while I head to the clubhouse.

I'm knocking on Sofia's door an hour later, and when she answers, I about swallow my tongue. She has on a pair of short white cut-off shorts and a yellow v-neck t-shirt that shows a tiny sliver of skin at her waistline. She's paired her outfit with bronze colored sandals. The look is simple, yet she makes it look sexy as hell. "You look beautiful, baby."

Sofia ducks her head. "Thank you."

"Get your stuff, Firefly," I say my tone husky.

Peeking up through her lashes, she nods and reaches to her left, grabbing her purse that's hanging on the hook just inside the front door. Sliding her bag over her shoulder, she takes my offered hand as I lead her to my bike. She waits for me to straddle my bike first before climbing on behind me. Once she's settled with her hands at my sides, I decide she is not close enough for my liking. Reaching behind me, I clutch underneath her knees and pull her flush against my back. I then bring her arms around my waist, settling her palms against my abdomen. Carefully, I gauge her reaction to being so close to me. It's a bold and risky move on my part, but my gut tells me she's ready. I'm always careful with each movement, with each step I take with Sofia. When her body relaxes and melds into mine, I know she is okay with the move. Squeezing her hand, I glance over my shoulder and wink.

The drive to the festival is a short one, but because I'm selfish and want the feel of my girl on the back of my bike a little longer, I take a long route there. I'm sure Sofia knows what I'm doing but says nothing. I'm hoping it's because she's as content at the moment as I am.

"There they are," she points over my shoulder to where the guys have gathered and are standing around with the women. Parking my bike next to the group, Sofia climbs off and makes her way over to Bella and Alba, giving them both a hug.

"I'm so glad you guys came," Bella smiles. "What should we do first?"

"I say we head on over to the pavilion and grab a couple of beers first," Logan suggests. "Lord knows we're going to need it tonight." Next to him Gabriel grunts in agreement.

"It's going to be fun. Just wait and see," Bella playfully swats Logan's arm.

"I'm going to find a bathroom," Sofia chimes in. "I'll meet everyone there."

"I'll go with you."
