Rolling my eyes, I turn, grab my purse, sling it over my shoulder and heft the box off my desk. By the time I turn back around to face Demetri, Sasha is by my side taking the box from my hands. He tips his head toward Demetri. "I'll be waiting in the car."
Demetri doesn't take his eyes off me as Sasha exits the room, leaving the two of us alone. "Come,Krasivaya. We have a plane to catch." Placing his hand on the small of my back Demetri, and I make our way out of the classroom.
"What do you mean a plane to catch? I wasn't aware I was going anywhere."
"We are going to Polson for the weekend."
"Really!"
"Yes. I know you haven't seen Grace in months and your Godchildren are due for a visit."
I smile at the thought of seeing Remi and Ellie Kate. We stop next to the car where Sasha is waiting for us, and I turn to Demetri. "This trip is exactly what I need. Thank you, Demetri."
Roughly an hour later we are in the air aboard Demetri's private plane. We stopped by my apartment long enough for me to pack, change into a pair of jeans and call my mom to come by sometime this evening to pick up Bo. Peering around the inside of the plane, I fidget in my seat. Demetri hasn't spoken five words to me since we took off and instead of sitting beside me, he has chosen the seat furthest away. Yesterday he couldn't keep his hands off me, but today he is different. I feel sick to my stomach with the realization that my confession about Ronan might have Demetri seeing me differently. It would explain why he is no longer eager to put his hands on me.
"You're thinking too hard over there. What's got that look on your face?" Demetri asks as he sips the brown liquid in his glass.
"Nothing. I'm just anxious to see my friend is all," I lie.
Demetri's eyes bore into mine as if he knows I'm bullshitting him. Thankfully he doesn't call me out, especially since Victor and Sasha are sitting within earshot. With time to kill, I pull my laptop and file folder from my backpack and decide to finish grading final exams and getting the grades logged into the parent-student portal.
Before I know it, we have landed in Polson, and I am exiting the plane with Demetri. There is a black SUV waiting for us on the tarmac. Victor climbs into the driver's seat the same moment Sasha opens the back hatch and deposits mine and Demetri's luggage inside. Just as I go to open the back passenger door, Demetri blocks my move, flips me around to face him and presses his body against mine, catching me off guard, and I gasp. "What—" I go to say, but I'm cut off when Demetri brings his face an inch from mine.
"I want nothing more than to put my hands all over your body. And that's what I would have done on that plane had I not separated myself from you. But the first time I have you ride my cock; it won't be on my plane or with an audience. It will be in my bed, where I can spend the entire night worshiping your body and fucking your tight pussy so raw, you'll be feeling me for days."
"Holy shit," I breathe. "You sure know how to woo a girl. I'm going to hold you to that," I wink. "Especially the part where I'll be feeling you for days."
"What the hell am I going to do with you,Krasivaya?" Demetri says with a grin as he opens the door to the SUV, and I slide in.
"Exactly what you just promised."
The drive from the airport to The Kings clubhouse takes twenty minutes. The closer we get, the more excited I become. I opted not to tell Grace we were coming and decided to surprise her instead. It's already dark by the time we pull up to the gated compound. Demetri pulls his phone from his pocket and fires off a text. Seconds later, the gate slides open, and Victor drives through. The parking lot is full, the lights around the back of the property are on, and I hear music. The whole family must be here. The second Victor shifts the truck into park, I fling the door open and jump out of my seat. Demetri chuckles as he keeps in stride behind me. When the two of us round the corner of the clubhouse, I see our family and friends milling around the yard. Music is playing, a fire is burning, and laughter fills the air. Out of nowhere, I hear a loud squeal. I watch as my best friend Grace untangles herself from her husband, Jake's lap and dashes across the yard in my direction. I break away from Demetri to meet her halfway. Once we are within arm's length of each other, we pull each other in for a hug. I didn't realize how much I missed my friend until this moment.
"I can't believe you didn't tell me you were coming," Grace cries.
"You know I like to make an entrance," I tease.
Grace cuts her eyes over my shoulder to Demetri, who is standing across the yard with Logan. "Demetri brought you?"
"He did," I admit picking at the imaginary lint on my shirt.
"And?" she hedges.
"And what?" I fake innocent but fail when I sneak a glance in Demetri's direction to see him not bothering to hide the fact he's staring at me.
"It's about time, Glory," Grace says with a huge smile and tears in her eyes. I don't get a chance to answer her when suddenly a small body comes barreling into me.
"Aunt Glory!" Remi, Grace's daughter, screeches, wrapping her arms around me.
God, I miss this kid."Oh, my God! Look at you. You've gotten so tall. I swear you've grown five inches since I last saw you," I gush. "And where is the little one?"
"She fell asleep an hour ago. I put her down inside," Grace tells me.
"Damn. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get my Elle Kate love then."
Grace chuckles. "How about we grab a drink and sit with the girls? I know they are on pins and needles right now."
I look over Grace's shoulder, and sure enough, all the women dart their eyes back and forth between Demetri and me. No doubt wanting details.
