“Saint, please tell your despicable friend here to go retrieve my clothes.”

This girl says it with so much confidence it’s as if she actually believes he will.

“I’m about to hit the shower, actually.”

She turns around to face him with a fierce glower. “Are you fucking kidding me?”

He seems to think about it for a minute. “Yeah, I don’t think I am. We worked up a sweat last night.”

“Time to go.” I pull the door open wider. “Chop chop.”

“The both of you are assholes!” She bunches up the sheet around her and starts moving, but stops when a body passes the door.

“Oh my God, Clarice!” Melanie shouts, making the blonde outside our room stop dead in her tracks.

“Melanie?” Her eyebrows crease her forehead. “What the hell is going on?” The blonde approaches the door, but I block the entrance with a fold of my arms.

“Far enough.”

“How come she’s allowed in?” Clarice echoes my stance.

“Because she offered up her snatch. You willin’ to do that?”

Her lip lifts in disgust but stays quiet, knowing she doesn’t stand a chance against me.

Clarice is one of the quieter students in Riverside, keeps out of everyone’s business, and if it wasn’t for the lack of pigment in her hair I’d say she’s one of the very few girls who doesn’t deserve the scowl I’m aiming at her right now.

But she gets it anyway.

“What did you do to her?” She looks past me at Saint.

“Nothing she didn’t want, trust me. You church girls are freaks.”

This has Melanie letting out a growl. “Clarice, please go find my clothes in the hallway before the dorm head sees them.”

“Hallways.” I turn and correct her. “They aren’t only in this one.”

“I fucking hate the both of you!” Melanie screeches, stomping toward me in her bare feet, because of course I hid her shoes too.

“And yet you’re always coming back for more.”

“You’re a bastard!” She spits as she tries to pass, but I don’t budge which infuriates her even more.

“Move! Now.”

“Doesn’t your church teach you any manners?”

Or anything at all since she gets around the entire school.

Saint calling Melanie’s name has her relaxing her shoulders with relief.

So pathetic.

“What is it?” She asks without facing him, and I don’t miss the hope mixed in her voice. Like she’s just waiting for him to tell her to stay inside because we’re only joking.

“I’m gonna need those sheets back when you’re done.”

That earns Saint another growl before the uptight bitch pushes past me and out into the hallway with her friend.
