I expected screaming. A whimper and tears at a minimum. Instead, she groaned again, like it was the hottest thing she had ever experienced. I did not understand demons.
Within moments, the spell settled and just as quickly healed. Wow. The rope now looked like a golden tattoo bound around her spine. It almost matched the one she had on her chest.
I got off her quickly. I needed a little more space between us. I felt the spell at work, letting me know where she was. I gave her access to most of the castle. She wouldn’t be able to hurt herself too badly in here.
She sat up on the bed, trying to twist and turn to see her back.
“There’s a mirror on the ceiling darling,” I suggested, rather than sit here and watch her struggle.
Confusion struck her face as she looked up and noticed the mirrored ceiling of the canopy. This was traditionally my pet room, and it still was. Wonder and excitement crossed her features.
“At least it’s pretty,” she said with satisfaction as she moved to get off the bed.
“Come on darling, I have much to show you.” I said, extending the crook of my arm. She seemed to favor that.
Once we left the castle and ventured into the village, I shrunk her lead to only a few feet from me. There were things that could hurt her out here, and it wasn’t other vampires. I showed her around to all the stores which sold various magical items made frommyrinth, which we mined from under the mountain our kingdom was built on. We used to have villages further down in the valley, but fae have taken most of them.
For now, we have pulled back onto the mountain. We only needed blood, and we could get that from each other. But half of this realm was ours by right. And half a realm we will have again, after I had King Ailill’s head.
Morrigan seemed fascinated by everything. I couldn’t tell if she was acting or if she just really was interested in all the mundane lives of vampires. The spells were fascinating. That was where I mostly focused my attention outside of court life.
Court life was exactly what I planned on showing her next. We traveled back up the mountain until we reached the outer city of the castle. Running through the mountain paths at vampire speed ended up being kind of fun. It had been years since I made this trip. Animals scurried away as they sensed our arrival. I would need to take her hunting sometime, let her taste wild blood.
Court was every bit our central hub, where we got to let our inner demons out to play. Sex and blood seemed to go hand-in-hand with vampires. The bite itself is very arousing. I rarely allow vampires to bite me, but the way Morrigan did it was something new. She was feral. Her bites tore through more skin than her tongue could wipe away. There was something so primal in it. It drew my little black soul in.
I held the door open for her as she stepped into my typical hot spot for playtime. I noticed tonight was a special night. Up on stage was an actual fallen angel. He had stunning black wings backdropping him in a little white thong. Most fallen angels ended up in the vampire world. Something about our darkness seems to fit with them.
Morrigan watched the stage with pure fascination.
“He’s beautiful,” she breathed, unable to take her eyes off him.
“You sure want to fuck a lot of things for being a mated demonling.” I raised an eyebrow. If I hadn’t seen her with them with my very eyes, I would have my doubts about that.
“I can look at a flower and say it’s beautiful; but it doesn’t mean I want to fuck it,” she snipped.
I just shook my head and headed to my usual booth. She could follow or explore the club. I left room for her to do as she wished. The click of her heels behind me told me she had remained at my side.
I signaled for a bourbon. I leaned in to yell in her ear and she turned towards me at the same moment. We were nearly nose to nose. Her eyes reflected all the coloring lights flashing in the club. The urge to bite her clawed in my brain, reawakening the beast inside me. The one that had claimed her when I first saw her.
“I was just wondering if you wanted anything to drink?” I asked, my gaze flicking to her lips as she licked them.
“Blood or poison?” she asked, looking at my neck with complete hunger in her eyes.
“You drink poison?” That part caught my attention as I sat back to get a good look at her.
“I’m immune to all poison. It’s something like having a shot of whiskey when I drink a really strong one. It wears off rather quick too. If you don’t have poison, I may as well have water.” She shrugged.
The waiter dropped off my bourbon. I asked him for a water, and he looked at me like I was insane. I imagine that was the first time he ever had a request for water. It was brought to our table quickly and then we were afforded the privacy that came with being a prince.
Morrigan went back to watching the angel perform his erotic dance on the stage. She didn’t look away as the angel removed his clothing, piece by piece.
“Angels feed off emotions. Lust is pretty powerful,” I half yelled, wondering if she wanted a conversation.
“That’s really neat,” she yelled back. “Do you come here often?” she continued.
“This is one of my favorite places, actually.” I sat back and smirked as I brought the glass to my lips.
“You have a lot of sex, then I take it?” she asked casually.
