“I am?” I glanced at my watch.

“You’re on time,” Knox said. “Dude, you need to fix the clock in your room.”

“Why? It’ll be right again when daylight savings begins in November.”

“Daylight savingsendsin November,” Knox corrected.

“Sure, likethatmatters.” Logan winked at me. “Come on back. I was just putting on some music.”

I followed them down the hall. We passed an empty room on the way, with a bare mattress and a single desk. Then there was a room that must have belonged to Knox or Roman, but the door was only open a crack and I didn’t get a good look.

“Welcome to casa de Logan,” he said, welcoming me into his bedroom. “And before you ask: no, it wasn’t decorated by a professional. This is all me, baby.”

I stifled a snicker. It looked like any normal dorm room, with movie posters on the walls and a string of Christmas lights draped around the ceiling. But it was surprisingly clean, which was rare for college guys.

My eyes went to the queen bed up against one wall, with a bedside table on either side.

“Glad it doesn’t smell in here,” Knox muttered.

“It smells good!” I said.

“Fuck yeah it does,” Logan said while gently closing the door. “I lit a candle. Vanilla scented.”

“What a gentleman,” I teased.

“Want a drink?” Knox asked. “We’ve got beer, liquor, and a bottle of white wine.”

I raised an eyebrow. “White wine?”

“Knox’s mom gave it to us when we moved in,” Logan explained. “We’ve been trying to pawn it off for the past two weeks. So far, no takers.”

“Maybe after,” I said.

Acknowledging why I was here made them draw quiet. Knox cleared his throat, while Logan tapped the button on a wireless speaker. Soft music began playing.

“You guys ready for the game Saturday?” I asked.

“As ready as we’ll ever be,” Knox admitted. “We leave tomorrow. It’s a four-hour drive.”

“Fun,” I said.

Logan took a few tentative steps toward me, then slid his large palm along my neck. Then he gave me a slow kiss that lasted a few short seconds.

“Hi,” he said.

“Hi yourself.”

“So,” he said casually, “what did you have planned for tonight?” He turned to look at Knox. “She told me she has something planned.”

Knox raised an eyebrow. “Oh?”

I wasn’t sure how this was supposed to begin, so I decided to jump right in. “I do.” I walked over to Knox and put my hand on his chest. “If you guys are up for it.”

“I’m up for anything that involves you,” he replied.

Good answer.

I had to stand on my tip-toes to kiss Knox. He folded his arms around me, deepening the kiss, pulling my body against his.
