I smile at Evan, and he looks as excited as I feel.
He scoops me up in his arms when I walk out. “You ready?”
“I’m all yours.”
“Not yet,” he says softly. “But hopefully soon.”
I’m about to ask him what I mean when Mallory interrupts and confirms the date we will be back.
Finally, Evan and I walk out into the parking lot, and he stops me by his car.
“I was going to wait, but this thing has been burning a hole in my pocket for so long I can’t wait.”
“What are you—“ I start to ask when Evan gets down on one knee and holds up a small box.
To a random onlooker, seeing him propose to me in a parking lot might be a bit unconventional, but this spot holds a special place in my heart.
"Quinn, from the moment I met you, I knew you were special, someone I wanted to know. But it wasn't until you found your voice and opened up to me that I knew you were the one for me. I don't want to spend another moment without asking you if you will marry me and spend the rest of our lives reading me naughty stories in that sexy voice of yours."
I laugh and wipe at the happy tears in my eyes. “Of course, I will.”
Evan stands and puts the princess cut diamond ring on my finger. I jump up into his arms and kiss him like there is no tomorrow, but happy that there will be.
