Dinner is an amazing, decadent mix of sushi and ocean views. I watch the stars shine over the ocean on ourdrivehome.
And I stare atmyring.
Alot.
As we cuddle up on the couch and watchThe Fortune Cookie, as I brush my teeth, even as I climb into bed, I stare atmyring.
It still feels like a dream, being with Mal, being an actual director, living in this big beautifulhouse.
Mal climbs into bed shortly after I do. He slides his arm around my waist and pulls my bodyintohis.
His lips brush my neck. "You're adorable allcontemplative."
"AmI?"
He murmurs a yes into my skin. "I'm gonna have to makeyoucome."
"That's not a very goodthreat."
His laugh is hearty. Full. "What is it you'rethinking?"
"What happenedtosex?"
"Tell mefirst."
"Sexualblackmail?"
"Whatelse?"
A million things are running through my head. It's hard to explain it. I want to marry Mal, but after seeing what planning a wedding in two months did toViolet…
I'm not exactly psyched to organize a giantparty.
Especially not one so much aboutfamily.
Butthen…
I want todothis.
And soon. Before it gets big andoverwhelming.
"Talk to me, baby." Mal's voice is soft. Caring. He has so much love to give. And I get mostofit.
"You're here for twoweeks."
"Yeah."
"And I am too. I don't have any shoots booked until the second week ofJanuary."
Henods.
"Violet… she didn't take planning that big, dramaticweddingwell."
"You want to go to Vegas, say the word. I'll book a flight right now. Hell, give me twenty minutes and I'lldrive."
