“I said I’d get used to this mythical shit, but not sure I ever will, Keira.” Olivia stared at me wide-eyed. “Not sure I ever will.”

I frowned and tapped my fingernail on the counter. “Did you intend on staying friends with me?”

“Is Vegemite its own food group in Australia?” Olivia flicked her wrist at me.

I let out a chuckle, eyes snapping to Zeus’s letter appearing on the counter, singed on its edges. “Then you’ll get used to it. Trust me.”

Sweet Buns,

I can get along just fine. Big Daddy however, I’m not so sure how he’ll do withyou.??

Yours from all angles,

BDZ

Grinning to myself like a lovesick fool—because I was—I quickly wrote him back, ignoring Olivia’s burning stare over my shoulder.

Big Bolt,

And if the Queen told her King she’d make up for it tenfold upon her return?

The sheath to your sword,

Keira

“How often do you two do this, exactly?” Olivia asked with a raised brow.

Biting my bottom lip, I winced at her. “Far too often than I’d like to admit?”

“Bloody hell. You two were made for each other.” Olivia snorted and laughed before walking away and shuffling her bags.

Another letter appeared in a tiny burst of blue lightning.

Love of my life,

Have a great time.

Xoxo,

Your god-king

PS – I will hold you…down…to that.??

A laugh burst from my lungs. Always the sweet with the naughty. But fuck if I didn’t love it.

“Alright, Ollie. Let’s do this. You get to meet the King of the Seas, chill out on the beach, scope out guys half naked. Should be a blast.”

Olivia gasped and grabbed my arm. “King of the Seas. Wait—he’s Aquaman?”

It wasn’t often Ollie had the ability to catch me off guard, but with that particular gem, she had.

I blinked with the speed of a humming bird. “Um. No. Heisin charge of Atlantis, but no, Ollie. Poseidon. Not Aquaman.”

“Aren’t they the same thing?” She closed her eyes to the point of slits—her “I call bullshit” face.

“Definitely not.” I slipped a hand over her shoulder. “You know Jason Momoa isn’t actually Aquaman, right? That’s not who you’re going to meet?”

Olivia clapped her hands over her ears and turned away from me, “La-la-la. I can’t hear you.”
