ChapterFive
DAR
You know that saying, don’t judge a book by its cover? Well, it applied heavily to his place. The lights flicked on and illuminated the spacious area. I whistled. There was a television that took up most of one wall, a couch bigger than our entire studio, and a kitchen with stainless steel appliances.
“Guess you do have money,” I said. I headed toward the living room area. “How in the hell hasn’t anyone robbed you yet? Is it because the outside looks like a crack house?”
“Dar,” Calvin hissed.
Only a few steps behind the man, Sayge shook his head. What did I say wrong?I shut my mouth before I messed up the opportunity for us like I always did.
“Sorry. He speaks before he thinks,” Calvin said.
The man’s deep green eyes landed on me, and I was reminded of the ferocious kiss we’d shared. The way his tongue had forced mine down, his teeth biting down on my tongue. The pain had sent little shock waves of pleasure through me, and I’d been ready to sink to my knees and see what else he could do.
“No one is stupid enough to come here,” he said.
My stomach tightened, and my cock pressed against my jeans’ seam. “Why? Are you a serial killer or something?”
“Dar,” Calvin groaned.
What? It's a reasonable question.
The man gave me a toothy smile and started up the stairs. “This way.”
“Dar, come on,” Calvin said.
Okay, don’t answer my question.
I rolled my eyes.
I took one more longing look at the tv.Maybe after he came, I could convince him to let us use his stuff.Bet watching a fight on that huge screen would be like a dream come true.Maybe after we get paid, I could convince Calvin to get a tv. It wouldn’t be anywhere near this size, but a decent tv would be fun to liven up the place.
I followed them upstairs. Taking two at a time, I caught up with Sayge and grabbed his elbow, holding him back.
“You called him daddy. Why?”
Sayge grinned, his devilish side showing before he wiped it away and smiled sweetly. Calvin stopped with us near the stairs, his gaze checking on the mystery man every few seconds. It was a short hallway with only three other rooms. He was headed toward the middle one.
“Well, one, we don’t know his name, and two, because he reacted to it when we were at the club.” Sayge shrugged like it was no big deal. “Plus, it felt good.”
Calling him daddy?I glanced over at him, and I could see it in how he demanded things and held himself. It was one night. Maybe I could do it too.
“That would have been great information to share,” Calvin said.
Sayge batted his lashes. “Sorry, it slipped my mind. I was stunned that we even ended up here.”
None of them said anything. I was still shocked we’d all agreed to it. I’d be lying to myself if I didn’t admit I was excited. Sayge kissed Calvin on the cheek and rushed after the man.
“You sure you’re okay with this?” I asked Calvin.
I knew Sage was into him. He was practically salivating over the guy, not that I was doing any better. My cock was hard, and I knew deep in my soul he’d be able to help me with that. Yet, Calvin was another story. His shoulders were tight but what gave him away was the way he stroked his thumb over his finger. It was one of those gestures he did when he was overwhelmed and unsure.
I glanced at Sayge, but he was already entering the room, and I groaned. I wasn’t really good at helping with emotional stuff. Needed someone to beat up or to take a punch, I was the man. When Calvin was lost, Sayge was usually the one to pull us together. I was more likely to make things worse.
“Yeah,” Calvin finally answered, but he didn’t sound sure at all.
I grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers. “You don’t want to, you don’t have to. Sayge and I will be fine. I’m sure he’ll let you watch tv or something.”
