“He seems happier,” Dar said.

I nodded. “Don’t we all?”

“You think this will last?”

I gave it some serious thought. Elio was possessive, and he’d made it clear to us that he owned us.

“I hope so,” I answered honestly.

“Me too,” Dar said.

I smiled at him. This was the first time we weren’t struggling and had something that even our wildest dreams couldn’t have conjured up.

The phone vibrated on the table, and I grabbed it up.

“He wants your picks too, Dar.” I passed the phone over, and he swallowed his food before sending a text.

I really did hope Elio kept us. I knew what I wanted and how good it felt to be in his arms. Not only that, but Elio made me feel wanted, seen, desired, and cherished. That was hard to come by. I was so used to men seeing me, creating their own idea of me, and trying to force me into a box of their perfect trophy guy. It never worked out past the bedroom. I was too wild or deviant. However, with Elio, I could tease him and show him my naughty side.

I didn’t think I could ever give that up, and I hoped I never had to.

“Have fun, Sayge,” Dar said. He draped his arm over Calvin’s shoulder. “Done with your chore list?”

Calvin nodded. “Want to watch a movie?”

I waved them off as I checked myself out in the mirror. There were so many clothes to try on. Rows and rows of clothes from some of the top designer brands. There were even some I’d never heard of before. Still, Rachel had assured me they were all high-end.

Rachel was a personal shopper that Elio had brought in. Apparently, she assisted multiple people in the Laureati family.

“Did you want me to pick out jewelry for you as well?” Rachel asked. She was gathering up all of Dar and Calvin’s clothing. She sorted them into their piles. By far, mine was the largest.

I bit my lip. I should really stop. Elio was kind enough to give us a whole new wardrobe, and the last thing I wanted to do was make him feel like I was using him.

“Um—”

She smiled at me. “Don’t worry. Mr. Laureati has funded the entire expense regardless if you get the jewelry or not.”

“He did?” My mouth felt dry. I wasn’t sure how to feel about that. I had men in the past dress me like a doll, but Elio was buying me whatever I wanted. “Did he pick out anything specific?”

She shook her head. “No, only for Calvin. He stated what kind of men each of you were, and I guessed from there. If you don’t like anything else, I can always have my assistant bring up more options. Or we can even look at my online catalog. Most of those are custom made, but I can have them delivered in the next week or so.”

I bit my bottom lip before I pushed the unease away. There was no reason to dwell on it. If Elio had an issue, he’d say something. He was oddly honest for a killer; it was one of his cuter sides.

“Okay, I’ll try on that next,” I said, pointing to the outfit she’d created. It was a cute belt with a gold snake buckle. A chest piece that was made of mostly jewels along with a button-up shirt and black slacks.

“Good choice,” Rachel said as she handed it over.

“Hey, Rachel, do you have anything that you know will be perfect for the bedroom?”

She winked at me. “Oh, I certainly do. I’ll move them to the try-on rack.”

Each item I tried on was even more lavish than the one before. I even grabbed a few lounging outfits. There was no limit, and I smiled at myself as I slipped on another pair of shorts.

I felt his eyes on me the moment he walked in. I didn’t need to turn and check. Elio was like no one I’d ever met before. He wasn’t just the daddy I’d been looking for, but he’d also taken a liking to Dar and Calvin. Each day that passed felt like some kind of dream.

“Here, what about this one?” Rachel asked. I looked over the soft blue fitted top paired with low-riding black jeans. It was cute, but that wasn’t what I wanted to try on right now.
