Of course he could. “Now?” she cried, incredulously. “What will people say?”
“I don’t care, and neither should you.” His palms rested along the sides of her face, warming her already heated skin. “Sometimes, Eleni, you have to decide what you want, and go for it.”
That’s what she had done, taking up his job offer, for different reasons back then, but it had led her to an unexpected outcome. A new direction for her life.
No more being stuck in limbo.
“I do know what I want.” Her heart missed a beat again, because of the way he looked at her. “And I want you, Dominic.”
