“My advice? Give her some space. Moving is a big life change. Maybe the city didn’t work out like she wanted, or maybe it was, and she gave it up to come back home. But a little groveling wouldn’t hurt. Maybe some flowers. Or simply ask her to give you a chance to explain yourself.” Joe sipped his Coke before popping a fry in his mouth. “Maybe a basket with a few of her favorite things?”

“Who are you right now?” I eyed my boss suspiciously as laughter emerged from my throat. “A basket?”

Joe chuckled. “You know women love that shit. One year for Christmas, I did one for Lori. She went nuts for it. Couldn’t believe I got everything she loved.”

“Lori’s trained you well.” I joked.

“Trained me? No. I was born knowing how to treat a lady.”

I laughed and ate a few more fries. “Funny thing is, she called asking for you. Said her mom recommended you to work on her car. Doubt she expected me to answer.”

“Must’ve given her a surprise she wasn’t expecting.”

“Yeah. She refused my help, though.”

“Typical.” Joe snickered and ate the last of his burger.

We finished our meal and said our goodbyes. As I drove home, I thought about swinging by her mom’s place. If that’s even where she was living. I had no clue. But instead, I went home and jerked off in the shower, thinking only of her, like always.

My patience grewthin as the hours passed. Two days went by, and I gave her space, kept my cool. But I wasn’t sure how much longer I’d hold out for.

It was Friday evening and my usual plans of picking up takeout and heading home to binge shows weren’t exciting. Instead, I wanted to see her. I couldn’t wait any longer.

I dreamed about what she might look like now, older and more womanly than her younger eighteen-year-old self. I thought about what she might smell like, the same sugary sweet smell or was it different?

Was her hair the same, her figure curvier and fuller?

Before I talked myself out of it, I took the turn for her street and pulled up in front of her mom’s house, everything looking the same yet different. I saw the downstairs lights on in the late afternoon sun and I saw her mom’s car and a similar car parked next to it in the driveway.

I wondered what they were having for dinner. Pam had always been a good cook. I parked my truck in front of the cabin and flicked off my headlights. I thought about parking across the street, but wouldn’t that be weirder?

Walk up there and knock on the door.

No, give her space. Like Joe said.

You’re being a creep. Go home already.

As my brain went to war with itself, the front door opened. My spine stiffened and my body went numb as I watched her walk through the front door, a full garbage bag in one hand.

She’s more gorgeous than I remember.

I couldn’t look away, couldn’t tear my eyes off the woman I never stopped thinking about. Her long brown hair hung in waves down her back, her lips a shiny pink gloss I wanted to taste, and her tight leggings and fitted top revealed her curves, ones fuller than when I last saw her. No longer a young woman, but now older, more womanly, and my hands ached to touch her. My fingers tingled with want and I shifted in my seat, my dick hardening by the second.

When she turned and dropped the bag in the trash bin, my eyes traveled down her backside to her plump ass and I groaned to myself, my dick now straining against my pants, begging to be released.

Even her ass was perfect, and my mind immediately went to bending her over whatever I could find and fucking the shit out of her from behind.

I pushed down on my hard cock, but it was no use. It had a mind of its own sometimes.

Lyla shut the trash bin and headed back inside, but as she did, her head turned my way. Her eyes narrowed as she inspected my truck, unsure what to make of it.

But then she got closer. My heart leaped and banged against my rib cage.

Another step closer, her eyes seeking my face. I was ready to explode.

When it finally clicked in her brain who I was, her mouth dropped open and she stormed the rest of the way over.

“Jaxon? Are you serious? What the hell are you doing here?”
