“Oh! Oh! You are getting it, woman. And not like you got it last night!” Spence yells when he surfaces.
“Promises, promises.” Tenley raises her hand over her shoulder as she enters the house. Prompting a tittering amongst the girls about Tenley and Spence.
Spence gets out of the pool, kicks off his shoes and empties his pockets. Then pulls off his shirt and wrings it out. I don’t miss that Tenley openly checks him out when she comes back with the drink orders. I don’t think he does either.
Sadie comes and slips under my arm. “How much longer on the ribs? We were thinking of going swimming.” She steps back and pulls off her tank, revealing the white bikini top underneath. Leaving me tongue tied.
“I, uh, I can’t go in the water,” I say.
“I know, it’s such a bummer,” Sadie says, pushing her shorts over her hips and down her long lean legs. I watch her as she walks toward the pool. She does that thing with her bikini bottom that girls do where she runs her fingers under either side to pull it down over her cheeks more. She turns back and says, “I’ll be thinking about you when I’m all wet.” Then dives in the pool.
Fuck this shit.
I jump in the shallow end and hold my cast over my head watching as she swims toward me, then after she surfaces, wraps her arms and legs around me. My cock jumps in response.
“Is that for me,” she breathes into my ear.
I look at her. “You know it is.”
“I like it.” She licks up my neck and nibbles at my ear.
Jesus Christ, this woman will be the death of me.
“Last one in does the dishes,” Kat yells as she does a cannonball into the pool. And soon everyone is in the pool, playing around and splashing about. Except Remi and Chance. He helps her to the side where the steps are.
“I don’t know if I will go in,” she says. “I think I had too much lime juice in my virgin margaritas. I feel kind of weird.”
“Do you want some water, beautiful?” Chance asks.
“Yes, I think so,” Remi says. “Do you mind?”
“I would do anything for you.” Chance kisses her on the cheek then heads to the cooler to get her some water.
“Oh, come on you guys, don’t splash me, please.” Remi wrings her hands and tears up. “I’m so fucking emotional. I hate this. I want these things gone. I want my body back.”
“We didn’t splash you,” Kat says, walking toward the stairs of the pool. I look around, everyone else is shaking their head. I know neither Sadie nor I splashed her. Lexie follows behind Kat.
“Beautiful.” Chance approaches her from behind and puts his hands on her shoulders.
“I know, I’m crying again. God, I’m such a fucking pussy—”
“Beautiful, I think your water broke.” Chance turns her slowly to face him.
“No, it’s too early. We aren’t ready.” Remi sniffles and wipes at her nose. Then grips at her stomach. “Oh, shit. That hurts.” She looks down. “Oh no. Chance, I think my water broke,” she cries.
“Do you want to go to the hospital?” he asks calmly.
Remi nods with a frown, tears rolling down her face.
“Okay,” he says as he wraps his arm around her and leads her to the door.
“We’re right behind you, beautiful girl!” Kat yells as she and Lexie scramble from the pool. In a matter of moments, the six of them are gone, and it leaves the four of us with a large amount of ribs and potato salad to eat.
“Do you need to go with them?” Sadie asks me. I shake my head. “No, they’re good. I’ll stop by after they have the babies.”
The four of us hang out and enjoy way too many ribs and watch the sunset. Spence leaves shortly after dusk and Tenley walks him out. She doesn’t come back for quite a while. Long after Sadie and I have cleaned everything up and are cuddling on the couch watching a movie. I hear the front door open, and Tenley walks in, shutting it quietly behind her.
“I didn’t think you guys would still be up,” she says.
