“Jesus Christ, AshLynn, what the hell?” I say, turning my back to her and covering my eyes.

“It’s nothing you haven’t seen before.”

“I’ve never seen you without any clothes on.”

“I mean a woman. Unless you’ve never seen a woman in her underwear.”

“What do you want?”

“Tell me which dress to wear.”

“I’m sure all three look good.” I shrug.

“You barely saw them. They are all totally different,” she says.

“Okay, the black one.”

“Really? You don’t think the neck is too high on that one?”

“Then the red one.”

“I’m just not sure that’s the right shade of red for me, and I’ve already done my makeup so I can’t compensate.”

“Well, then why did you buy it?”

“Not helping!”

“Okay, fine, the white one.”

“It’s not too . . .”

“Too what?”

“I don’t know, virginal.”

“It’s hard when I haven’t seen them on you. And I barely got a glimpse of them on the bed. What look are you going for here?”

“I want to look nice for dinner.”

“AshLynn, it’s just dinner. Is there a special reason I don’t know about?”

“No.”

“Then go with the black one.”

“Okay. Thank you. You can go now.”

“Before I do,” I say with my back still to her. “How much longer are we going through with this? I have a life to get back to and we are two days past the favor I was originally doing you.”

“Well, I don’t know, Mason. How much longer would you like to stay out of jail? I mean, for all you know, I have a picture of you looking through Willow’s window.”

“Do you?” I grit out.

“Hard to say. Now be a good boy and run along. We are celebrating our engagement at dinner tonight.”

I leave the room with a sigh.

I need a drink.
