Willow
AshLynn looks incredible,as usual. It’s no wonder Mason wants to marry her. Her dress is short, low-cut, white, and tight, showing all of her assets to their best advantage.
“Wow, Ash, you look great,” I tell her.
“Yeah?” She looks down and smooths the nonexistent wrinkles from her skirt. “Thanks.”
“I thought you were going to wear the black one?” Mason asks.
AshLynn shrugs. “I changed my mind. What? You don’t like this one?”
“It’s great,” Mason says.
“Great?” AshLynn squints her eyes and looks at him. I know that look, he should be careful about what he says next.
“You look lovely,” Mason amends.
“Thank you.” She smiles.
Zach moves over so that AshLynn can sit down. She waves him off.
“It’s fine. The car should be here soon anyway.”
“About one minute to be exact,” I say looking at my phone.
“How do you know?” AshLynn asks.
“Because I ordered it.”
“Daddy didn’t order it?”
“What car are you talking about?”
“The town car that Daddy is sending. What car are you talking about?”
“The Uber that I ordered.”
“Oh, well, why go in an Uber when we can have a town car, right?”
A car honk sounds from outside.
AshLynn looks through the window. “Who drives a blue Camry?”
“Oh, that’s our Uber,” I say. “Good.”
“You didn’t cancel it?” AshLynn asks.
“No,” I scoff. “When? In the last four seconds before he got here? Just let Daddy know that we got our own ride.”
“I wanted a town car.” AshLynn pouts.
“Well, you’re welcome to wait for it,” I tell her, “but I’m taking the Uber that is here now.”
I give P-Tink a chew toy, say goodbye, and head out the door. Zach gets up to follow me.
We both get in to the back seat and Mason calls out that they’re coming. I scoot to the middle so that AshLynn has room to get in, leaving the passenger seat for Mason, since he’s the largest of all of us.
But instead, Mason opens the passenger door for AshLynn, waits until she’s in, then shuts it after her.
