“Depends on how you defineperfect,” she said wryly.
“Perfect forme.” He crushed her to him, uncaring about the tears in his eyes. “I’ll love you until after the stars have turned to coal.”
“Let’s try again,” she murmured against his mouth. “Differently this time.”
“I bollocksed everything up. I’d do it all differently.”
Lips pressed to his, she smiled. “I wouldn’t. I’ll never want to go back, because we’ve grown and changed. This,” she went on, deepening her kiss, “is so much better now.”
Words were lost to them as their kiss grew hotter and more desperate. Hunger for her built andbuilt, until it was wild, but it didn’t matter if he’d no control over his desire for Willa. Not when she desired him just as much, and they had their whole lives to explore this miraculous thing between them.
Her hands roamed all over his body, but when she found and squeezed the curves of his arse, he chuckled.
“Let’s get us inside,” he said in a low rumble, “so I can show you good and proper how much I love you.”
Threading their fingers together, they headed into the house. They were met in the hallway by Kieran, Celeste, Finn, and Tabitha.
The brothers took one look at Willa and Dom, and their still-clasped hands, and a grumbling Kieran handed Finn a wad of pound notes.
“Youbeton us?” Dom demanded.
Glaring at Kieran, Willa said, “And you wageredagainstus?”
“Not so,” Kieran said with a grin. “The bet was predicated onwhen, notif.”
“So long as this is thelasttime you meddle in my life,” Willa warned them.
“I thought it was family’s purpose to meddle,” Kieran protested.
“If Willa wants you to stop interfering,” Dom growled, “then,by God, you won’t do it again.”
“But it worked out in your favor,” Finn noted.
“You’re lucky it did,” Dom answered.
“I don’t believe in luck,” Finn said smugly.
“Then believe this,” Dom said meaningfully. “If you two doanythingagainst her wishes again, you’ll havemeto answer to. And I’m not a nice bloke. Not by a mile.”
Willa’s brothers exchanged a glance.
“We won’t,” they replied in unison.
“Swear it,” Willa insisted.
“We swear.”
“Good,” she said with a nod.
“Now that the threats have been issued,” Kieran said brightly, “we can get on with the business of celebrating. We have sparkling wine at the ready in the parlor.”
Dom shared a hungry look with Willa. “We’ve our own celebrating to do. Alone.”
“I’m just going to pretend that means you’re off to tat lace,” Kieran said as Dom and Willa hurried up the stairs.
“Don’t be a hypocrite, Key,” Finn said with a chuckle.
Dom stopped listening to the brothers, his attention completely focused on the woman beside him. They quickly reached their floor and rushed into her bedchamber before shutting the door behind them.
