“… my shadows …”
I summoned my dynamis from within. Dark tendrils of smoke trailed over the fullness of her breasts, down her stomach, against her core and down her legs. Goosebumps pebbled across her body, her face flushed scarlet.
“… and my mouth …”
She whimpered as I took the rosy bud of her breast inside my mouth and sucked. Her hips bucked against me at the sensation. I swirled my tongue around the other, making sure each was shown equal devotion before I continued to savor the rest of her body.
I trailed featherlight kisses down her soft skin and over each glowing freckle that cascaded across it. As I hovered between her legs, I couldn’t help but lose myself in the view.
“You’re drenched, my love.” I caressed her thighs gently, causing them to tremble. “Once I’m done warming you up on the outside, Wildfire, I’ll help extinguish that fire burning within,” I whispered, blowing a breath over her sensitive, swollen mound.
I couldn’t help but enjoy watching her body react. Her hips writhed against my lips, almost sending me over the edge before we even started. I wrapped my arms around her thighs, pulling her flush against my mouth.
She let out a moan so loud that I was pretty sure the entire damn castle heard. It snapped the final tether of restraint I was holding. With each kiss and swirl of my tongue between her thighs, I made silent promises of all the ways I would always protect her. With each lave of my tongue, I showed her how much I adored her and how I would always treat her with tenderness and care.
“Declan—I—I…” she cried, fists tangled in the sheets.
“I know, my love…just breathe. I’ve got you,” I murmured against her.
I deepened my praise, flattening my tongue against her in one long swipe before thrusting it deep within her. Her hips bucked at the unfamiliar intrusion and her thighs crushed against the sides of my head.
“Wildfire…” I chuckled through my squished cheeks. “If you’d like me to finish what I’ve started, you’re going to needto relax your legs before I suffocate down here. Open your legs, love.”
“Oh, gods, sorry.” She relaxed her trembling thighs slightly.
“I told you, Lena, you never have to be afraid to feel.”
Her legs opened and fell to the sides, telling me she trusted me fully. It was almost as if my words were the final key to the lock within her. She was ready to trust me with everything, including her body.
To show my appreciation, I continued to give reverence to my goddess on her altar. Stoking the kindling within her, I added a finger, pulsing back and forth at a steady rhythm. Her toes curled and her hips began to pull away before I pulled her back towards me and placed my hand over her stomach, holding her down. I added another, continuing to build her up higher and higher towards heavens. Her body began to radiate with that familiar golden glow, the one she got when her emotions were overwhelmed by her dynamis.
“I can’t…it’s too much…I—” she gasped in between pants, the heels of her feet digging into the mattress.
“Let go for me, love,” I coaxed, lowering my mouth over her sensitive bundle of nerves, grazing with my teeth before I nipped it between them.
It was as if Elena’s glow ignited from the spark of her release. A burst of warm light flooded the room, and as it faded, little embers of fiery lights fell around us. She sat up on her elbows, gaping at the sight.
“You’re so damn beautiful, Lena,” I worked my way up her body to devour her lips. I couldn’t hold back any longer. I needed to be inside her now more than ever.

Everything felt hazy as I trickled back down into my body. Embers of light floated and fell around us, fading out as they hit the mattress. I’d never felt so outside of my body as I had just a few moments ago.
Declan cherished me in ways that my timid self had once been fearful of. I’d never truly felt like my body was desirable. With each tender movement, each caress, Declan praised away the fears I held about my body. Every day, this man continued to unlock the darkest parts of me.
The mattress bent as he rested his arms on either side of my head. His eyes sparkled, reflecting the falling embers. They widened when he looked at me, dragging his teeth over his bottom lip. As if the movement shared a direct energy with my core, I shivered as heat flooded within it again.
“Your eyes, Wildfire, they’re also glowing,” he whispered, pressing a soft kiss upon my lips. “I’ve never seen anyone with such a vibrant shade of indigo in their eyes. Lena, it’s the most mesmerizing thing that I have ever seen.”
I felt his length as it rubbed back and forth against my core, the feeling so intense my eyes squeezed shut.
“Keep those eyes on me, love.” He slid deep inside me with one thrust of his hips.
My eyes opened wide as my gasp turned into a moan of pleasure. One of his arms supported my neck, while the other played with my breasts. With each tender roll of his hips, my body felt so incredibly full. Full of warmth, happiness, and pure love. Two shattered souls, mending each other whole.
Our passion fueled a new sensation within my dynamis. Higher and higher we climbed together as I kept my eyes locked on the man filling me with hope. Only a sudden movement made my eyes waver away from his.
Shadows twisted around his arms, working in tandem to caress my body in the most delicious ways. The lights in the room were snuffed out by his shadows, engulfing us in the darkness. A soft golden glow from my skin was the only light illuminating our slickened bodies… until it wasn’t.
